playing pump takes me back to when i first started playing paintball(1998). i played for fun, not to get serious, not to become a pro player, or to see how i could smash the other players. just plain love for the sport. im usually smiling after playing open day with my pump. i rarely have that at a xball event(unless we win first place..lol). it makes me happy.

Yeah, and it funny when they say you over shoot them. Get out on the 1st shot and I wont have to hit you again.
I personally know a pump can rock w/ PSP on the D4/D5 level. But my personal choice would not be to use one; I good but not that good. I mean who honestly thinks they would stand a decent chance w/ a pump in a 3v1 when the other guys are D4 or better and all are ramping. I have seen it done, but not w/ a pump

As for the whole "I picked up pump because I was asked to tone it down," I can understand, though a pump isn't completely necessary to do so. I can achieve a similar effect by sticking a 50 round hopper on my Geo.

It's fun. It teaches you the basics of the game.

I got tired of not being challenged. I got tired of being asked to "tone it down" on the other players when I kicked their butts too badly in a game. I got tired of people complaining that I shot too fast.
I got tired of spending $50+ a day. I got tired of buying batteries. I got tired of using a paintball marker more complicated than counting using my toes.
I got tired of not having fun. Now that I play stock class, I have fun. If it's not for you, so what. It's the way I play, it's the way that keeps this sport fresh for me, and it's the way I will continue to play.

This. I hate when my flux capacitor dies mid-game.

das tha truth!
A case of marbs lasts me about 5 trips, or 5 days of open play.
Pump is fun because you get the satisfaction of prevailing against all odds is the best! And also knowing your only advantage over every player is YOU, not your gun. Pump makes you think more, take risks, and the reward is obvious.
