Geo low fps/ HPR screw question

i just played with my vicious geo i got off a trade.
it shoots perfect but to achieve 285-290 fps the adjustment screw is coming out the bottom of the reg. is this ok? On my SL, it is no where near as far out as my Geo.

I was reading that it could be your VVC screw which is all the way out and the bolt tip oring i replaced. Also the volumizer isnt installed. my dwell is also 14.5.

its a GR-2/GST too

dwell at 14.5 is right for the GST bolt. wouldn't worry about the screw being too far out as long as your able to achieve your desired FPS. lots of people have made the same comments. if your gun is shooting properly don't sweat it.

ya a few people have commented about their adjustment screw sticking out, but again i wouldn't worry about it as long as your gun is shooting properly. what kind of tank are you using? if you have a rebuildable tank reg and haven't serviced it for awhile you might wanna do that. if your tank is not putting out 800-850 psi this could be a reason for you having to crank up your reg. Planet Eclipse designed these guns specifically for High output tank regs and put restrictions on the air flow to protect the solenoid from user error of overpressurizing the inline. i'm sure someone else can explain that better, but that's the basic gist.

dm9 and sl94 both have LPR's so the inline regs they come with have a higher output and output range. there is a lower concern for blowing your solenoid by setting your reg too high because the LPR is there to kinda protect it. your LPR will blow before your solenoid and you can always rebuild your LPR alot easier than your noid. like i said eclipse designed the geo reg to put out just enough air flow to get the marker to function properly and limited its output so as to protect your solenoid.

ahhh i see lol i feel dumb now

i really appreciate the replies. geo is soo nice just had me scared. Also as another question, is the geo spring skinnier but longer then ego ones? when i screw it back together i feel if compressing so that made me nervous too.

i'm a spool guy so i can't tell you how different they are from the ego inline spring. i know the stock geo spring is silver and the LP inline spring eclipse sells for LP tank users is a brass color.

As antny has stated, it isn't that uncommon for the inline reg adjuster screw to end up below the level of the end cap - not something you need to worry about.
