Proto Primo on KP pump?

I have a GXG on my kp pump and i hate it. i have sanded the inside lip down and everything and i still dryfire. i dont want to use my electric loader just cause its way too big for a pump. I stumbled across the Proto Primo and was wondering if any of you had used one first hand. the only complaint i have seen is the fact that its a 200 ball hopper so its kinda large...but not as big as most electric hoppers.

I've been toying around with the idea of picking one up. I agree, my pocket hopper is absolutely horrible. Although, I haven't sanded the inner lip on mine.

I don't mind running my Rotor on my pump but would always like to cut weight anywhere I can. I may head to my proshop after class tomorrow and see if they have any in stock.

i have one for my KP and it works fine... it is a little big though as it hangs up high on the marker. You're better off getting a Winchester Hopper. It rarely jams up and keeps the over all profile small.

@tr3b0r - i agree. its a nice size and its light weight, plus it feeds relatively quickly, the only downside, as MFgrimm said, it does stick up off the gun

@Ego9Eclipse - Thanks, lol

@MFgrimm - I do see your point. however, i was looking at pictures and you can almost take 5/8ths of an inch off (about one ball size) the neck. i would have to see one in person in order to know for sure....thoughts? the winchester is nice and im considering it as a alternative to a Primo, but i was looking for something larger than 50 balls. ideally id like to have 100, but i cant find a quality hopper like that.

if you want a 100 round hopper, there is the Sport Shot Hopper.. holds 100, but it does jam a little.

There's also the APP 150 round hopper, works pretty well surprisingly. Might want to check out that one out as opposed to a Primo.

I like the Primo and all but not on a pump... works great on some of my mech's

Heres is a pic of a Primo on a KP.. I dont like it, I would stick with the winchester or a 100 rounder or an electro Revvvy/ Halo frontman TSA..
that Primo is HIGH

yeah havent had a chance to work on the primo yet. I'm replacing the feedneck and sanding it down a bit. All in all a great gravity hopper.

Sorry, I didnt mean to bash on your photo. How do you like that single trigger frame? do you think it was worth the additional 70? how much did you get it for?

didnt take it as bashing at all. The single trigger frame feels a hell of a lot better than the stock dual. I bought it for $50 from azodin's site.

I rather get the new sport shot hopper, apparently it holds 100+ rounds... great for those wanting more than just 50.

In regards to the single trigger frame, i recently picked one up for $35 straight, and new.

It definitely feels much better than the double trigger. I have large hands and its perfect, as it feels more like a conventional pump that i am used to. There is significantly less trigger play, and the trigger pull is slightly shorter.

The downside is that it's still the same trigger frame as the stock, so you still have the potential issue of the spring wearing out.

Other than that, it's still a bit expensive at $44.99 standard price but it's actually an upgrade worth getting later down the road if you have spare cash to blow. I rather spend money on this then a brand new clamping/lever feedneck.

A good solution to the winchester is to take one of the allen 50 pod caps and just glue it on the winchester-- gets rid of that dinky cap and gives you an extra few balls. Sturdy as hell too.

The Primo looks sleek but holy cow that's a stovepipe! I played with my magna on last night... it was hillarious but rather fun. Can't wait to slap a pinokio with nose to just go pure absurdity.
