OMG...well..to answer your Q's....i have stock barrel, egrip, and compressed air.... BUT
I took the ENTIRE gun apart, the owner before was a ****ing idiot, it was never cleaned NEVEr oiled, the surface of the inside of the body is rougher then freakin sand paper, and i think it chopped because the bolt wasnt working good enough and wasnt keeping up with the hopper, i cleaned the body out and tomorrow im sanding down the inside to smooth everything out, and oil her up and she might work alright...

Ok first your problem could be that you TOOK THE GUN APART. Not to say dont take your gun apart, its just easier to install something wrong if its not put together correctly.

First look at the bottom plate of the Cyclone, there should be a "A" Stamped on the bottom. (Let me know if you have it or not).

Now take off your bottom Cyclone plate and exam the internals, !dont take the internals apart!. Look at the teeth inside very closely, check and see if the Clear tooth is broken. If not oil everything and aplly the plate. When installing the plate screws, dont screw them in 100%, if screwed in too far they can poke a hole on the inside of the cyclone shredding balls.

Polishing the internals will make the gun operate 100% better, here is a Guide I wrote myself on how to properly polish the A-5: http://www.a5ownersgroup.com/forum/t...?TOPIC_ID=3852 .

Get a New Barrel!!!. And try to keep the gun at about 270-280FPS.

What size Air tank do you use>?

i dont think the size of the tank would matter but i used a center flag 68/45

and i took the gun apart AFTER i shot it, and it was dirty as ****, and rough, but i sanded it down and the inside is smooth... and im oiling it all up today and puttin it all back together...

Make sure when your testing to see if your still having cycling problems to have an ABSOLUTLY full fill on your tank. When your tank is low, it will cause the cyclone to act up and not work properly.

Also, by the way you answered: it tells me you eigther didnt read all of my posts, or you fixed the problem.

Good Luck

First off Polishing the internals does absolutly nothing, I went the the Tippmann facilities and they had one that was polished and one that was and they let me dry fire both of them, absolutly no difference, same amount of noise and same speed. Sorry guys, if it actually made a difference don't you think Tippmann would use it?

Anyways, to answer your question, if you have a reg or LP tank it will mess up your Cyclone, it needs to be running at no less than 800 PSI and even that's pushing it, make sure the PSI is around the ideal 850 PSI, if you got that working fine it more than likely a cyclone feed problem and tippmann will fix it free of charge, good luck.

Well I beg to differ, my information comes from Tippmann themselves, so I know its accurate. If polished internals were a beneficial upgrade then Tippmann would authorize it and put a legitimate part. An No I don't have a bionic ear but anyone can tell the difference between a lawn mower and an air plane. And actually yeah I can tell the BPS, its not that hard. You can't count how fast your fingers pull the trigger? I'm not the fastest shooter by far, I'm decent with a consistant 11BPS and I personally did not notice a difference.

No doubt Tippmann themselves have indeed used a bionic ear (information about it not being quieter clariffied) and I'm sure they've used video tape and sound software to determine the BPS variance between the two.

My comment was not rude in the least. I never said I know more than you do, in fact that can't be proven but in retrospect who cares? My information is from Tippmann, I ask questions and get answers from certified employees and gun technicians so you're arguing your information against theirs, I'm merely re-stating and holding to it.

Your tone alone shows that you think you know it all, it shows that you know more than me, which is word for word from Tippmann so you obviously know more than they do. Go get a job with them and tell me otherwise, not to put down any of the people in this forum but I'd trust Tippmann's word against anyones in this forum. Including you Pantera.

Nevertheless you managed to turn a simple thread about a cyclone feed into a debate. I was answering a question you're the one that stated it as incorrect. Call Tippmann yourself and find out, oh wait, you already know more than they do too, sorry I forgot.
