DM7 upgrading to DM9/NT worth it?

My birthday is coming up and i want to buy myself a little present. I own a DM7 right now and its a awesome gun but im wanting something a little newer. I have my eyes on a DM9 or DYE NT but i just wanted some opinions on if this is even worth forking out the cash to jump from a dm7 to a dm9 or dye NT or is it NOT worth it and stick with my dm7? Im also thinking very seriously about the macdev clone.

Any help is appreciated as always.

Well.... What are you looking for?

A new toy? Yes, it's worth it
A smoother marker? Depends on how you tune it
A more reliable market? No, DM7 is just as reliable to a dm9 or nt..... Depending on how you maintain them... NT has some teethig issue at the moment for some owners, but I have personally not yet have a game ruined
Are you looking at improving your game with a newer marker? If you suck with a dm7 , you will still suck with an NT... Period....
Have you tried shooting the NT and a DM9? It would tell you wether it's worth it... I first shot a 9, fell in love with it, can't afford one, so I bought a 7 instead... No regrets
Can you afford it? If yes, then it's worth it... If not, nothing wrong with sticking with your 7, as it still shoots great

or.... If you like to collect lots of markers, than yes it's worth it

at the end, it's your money dude... Don't let me or other people tell you how to spend it.

i dont think it could have been said better than what okitoki said.

i personally have had this question in the back of my mind for a few years now. my dm6 is STILL my main gun, i really want to upgrade but i just know its not going to help my game at all. So spending 500 + dollars and selling my dm6 doesnt lead to a better game, then it just doesnt seem worth it.

but i really do want a new toy to play with so idk

See how long you can make the dm7 last. it's nice seeing a variety of markers at a field and not just all the newest stuff.

i've owned a 6 and a 8,9. no real difference as far as playing. only reason i've switched is b/c i wanted a new color.

I have a DM6,7 and 9 and I use all of them still, they are all set up during an xball game and I grab the closest one...It's always fun to have a new marker but it won't change your game!

Try them Out the man. Difference mainly is weight, Dm9 are great guns they can shoot just as smooth and constant as any other Dm out there if you put enough cases through it and Tune it right. As for NT I'd stay away from those for a little there a great design and great markers but they still need some time under there belt. It a totally new design after all

i own a dm7 and have shot a dm9 once and have shot an nt many times the nt is deffinitly the best its the lightest of the 3 and very efficient but with the tech t bolt in my dm7 the kick seems the same and my dm7 may even be less because it is heavier than the nt. id prob just keep the dm7 but if you really want a new gun id buy the dm9 because they are a step up from the dm7 and the price dropped but if u have the cash the nt is far beyond worth it

I've had a bunch of problems with NTs breaking paint. Yes, it has the updates.

Dms ftw

I'd say stick with the Dm7 and buy something else nice.
Many people still at my field and shop say the dm7 was the best dm made. And I have a dm6. and Ive used a dm9. And I gotta say. My dm6 shot quetier and smoother.

After shooting my DM7 and my friend's DM9, I didn't see a lot of difference.

I can afford to go up to a 9, 10, or NT, but I just don't see the value in doing it.

I *may* switch up to something newer later this year, but it'll just be because I can, rather than because I need to.
