The only dumb questions are the ones not asked... within reason. Thats what the forums are here for so ask away! If you set your dwell too low you will start to get inconsistent shots and another thing you cant forget is that is also the pressure going to the solenoid so I wouldn't push it much higher since I dont know what the maximum pressure the solenoid can take. If you blow it you might be screwed for awhile since airsoldier is out of stock last time I checked.

depending on the internals you have, stock v. aftermarket, i would advise setting your operating pressure at or around 160psi, and setting your dwell from there. i think the solenoid can handle no more than 220psi, but dont take my word on it...

if i set the HPR that low wouldnt i have to use a higher dwell, therefor decreasing efficency

You need to take our advice from earlier threads, and refrain from asking for more reinforcement answers to the questions we answered already.

mc said "based on your internals".

Those of us who have already given you tips and pointers know you have all stock parts and need to use the 180psi range to start with.

Adjust HPR to 180ish PSI
Lower your Dwell all the way.
Now, while shooting over a Chrono with good paint, Raise your dwell until you are at your Legal Field Velocity.
Now go have fun and shoot people.

Exactly.

Other than replacing every internal part on it, the directions given are the only results you will be able to see.
