Paintball Association

I think we all need to ban together and tighten our paintball connections in ND. If we have a community of ballers out there who want the sport to grow to extreme measures here in ND, we need to Get together to do that. Not sure who'll join, or if we even want to be that organized, but lets try.

"sport"?

I would like to see our recreational hobby become more organized and a return of the ND Big Game series.

Maybe that and for the NG "tournaments" to have even a modicum of organization and safety measures. Free or not, someone is going to lose an eye at those.

Very true, I played on a team at the Minot NG tourny and saw 4 people almost walk right in front of the Chrono area. It's nice to have tournys arround but hopefully when i have tournys at my course we can pull in alot of teams and show em what it's all about.

I would like to see the North Dakota big game series come back to life. I don't know how many fields you could gather together though. There is no field in Grand Forks anymore. Don't mention D's, that bedroom sized area can hold 6 guys at best.

I am willing to help if needed.

Ok now i am really curious, i'm not about bashing other fields cause I want to see paintball grow in ND, however, what is everyones opinion on D's paintball. I have seen their indoor field, it looks big enough, is it really that small?

it isnt if you think a shoe box is big. ND big game series would be legit.

It isn't so much the size of D's as how it is run. It is absolutely unacceptable. I've played at more commercial fields that I can count and D's is the worst.

The old ISU indoor in Fargo was slightly larger but 1000x better do to how it was run. And ISU was on dirt with homemade plywood bunkers....

ya.... like a 15 year old kid runs it... and there bunkers there not like baloons like normal bunkers... there "fans" in them that constantly are blowing them up...the problem is the batteries die every couple hours....

They use homemade second-gen style supair fields with the internal fans. These are fine and were used by everyone in the country until Ultimate Air introduced the valve style bunkers in 2001.

The problem with D's is that their batteries are either inferior, not charged correctly, or have developed "memory". This means most of the batteries die within a couple hours.

D's is a complete waste of time and money. Your better off with a pod of reballs in your basement.

Mighty.

You want to buy ones from an established company with some sort of warranty.

The current Supair ones with the self-venting valves have been nothing but trouble at AAP.

The best deal possible is to buy a field from the PSP or NPPL after the event is over. They don't use fields for more than one event. They are shipped by supair to that location, used for the 3-4 days and then sold right there.
