Hi Larry,

my low side pro burst disk blow yesterday. I'm a foreign customer, are the burst disks covered by warranty? Is my local dealer responsible to rebuild/replace my reg? What could have originated this failure?

If there is no pro burst disk available locally, can I use a "normal" 1.8k burst disk? How could I buy a rebuild kit from GA directly? (spareparts, lube, burst disks, etc) There is no such item on your website.

Cheers!

Blowing an lp disk is caused by something "contaminating" the seat. Dirty fills, debris, simply seat failure will spiking and lp disk failure. Your G2 is covered by warranty and your dealer should cover repair for you. The Myth series can use any standard 1.8 disk if a a pro disk is not available. Contact GA tech center 888-640-9080 for complete line of parts.

My myth II blows fill nipples daily. I tried different plungers, different o-rings on the plunger, and different fill nipples. I made sure to not screw the fill nipples in too deep but it just seems to vent at will through the fill nipple.

Thoughts?

Definitely a fill nlpple problem. Nothing internal will cause the nipple to vent. A GA nipple properly lubed and installed, not bottomed out, using a 06-50 polyurethane o-ring should seal with no problem. If you can't remedy the problem I would be glad to look at it and resolve the problem. You can contact GA at 847-640-9080.

My g2 reg is leaking very slightly, when put under water it bubbles slightly around the rim of where the gold plate connects to the black part of the reg. The tank will be out of air in about 2 days after sitting out. Any ideas as to what to do?
Still works great though

Are you talking about the flange? If so tighten down the flange securely. Sometimes the flange will loosen from spinning the bottle off the asa and a aleak can occur. Always make rsure the flange is checked periodically.

Tank size is dependent on style of play and comfort. Many small stature players use the 68 comfortably due to it's short design. abaest way to determine is to try a few different setups at your local field and see what feels right.

Larry,

I also blew a low pressure pro disc. I know you said its caused by something contaminating the seat. Do you think its possible that the reg failed? Can I buy a rebuild kit? Thanks

If the lp disk blew the reg definitely needs inspection and rebuild. Your reg has a one year warranty and all parts and labor are covered. We have rebuild kits,(piston, and retainer,) available as well as the lp disk. Contact Mary at GA Illinois and explain the problem.

Sounds like the strut o-ring. Seating the nipple too deeply( overtightening), or just a flash fill will cause the o-ring to extrude from the gland and cause air to exhaust from the nipple. Remove the nipple and look at the o-ring. GA will send you a new nipple assembly if you desire. Contact GA Illinois for service.

What kind of tank cover would fit the new 68/45 G2? Since it's shorter than other 68 ci tanks, will my old 68 ci tank covers still fir the g2?

Which dye rhino cover would you recommend for it?
