Hey larry I'm having an issue with one of your regulaters. I have an ans gear 68/45 with a myth on it, but i have a leak coming from the sides of the fill nipple. I was told to you use teflon tape to seal it, but with no luck, it still leaks. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

I don't don't recommend teflon tape for anything other than emergency field repair. I've found shreds of tape inside many regs due to the breakdown of the tape after time. Blue loc-tite should serve to seal and secure the nipple. Make sure the loc-tite has completely dried before pressurizing. The only other event to be aware of is if the nipple has been overtightened into the port the threads may be "stretched" causing a leakage problem.

As I said the tape is ok for a short term on field repair but I would do a more permanent repair with loc-tite when I got home. Short term is no problem but the tape deteriorates, becomes brittle, and shreds after awhile.

Help!

My tank is leaking out of the hole below the gauge. I first thought is was leaking out of the pin. So, I opened up the reg and the re-lubed the internal O-rings with Dow 33 but it didn't help. Now the leak is coming from the hole below the reg gauge. What would cause this?

A leak through the vent hole is indicating a worn or scratched hp o-ring. this is the small black o-ring on the piston. The o-ring needs to be replaced and lubed. Also check for any sign of scratches inside the seat retainer as this will cause wearing and damage to the o-ring. Dirty fills and debris can cause scratching on the piston shaft and retainer wall causing wear on the 0-ring.

Reg w/ Left Hand Thread

Is it possible to purchase a tank reg with the ASA end with left hand threads from Guerrilla Air? Would it be special order or something you do on a special request? Wouldn't need to have an on/off but, would be nice if it did.

Unfortunately we aren't equipped to do one off custom pieces. Our time to shut down and set up for a one piece run would be incredibly expensive.

I would think a large company would have at least 1 lathe (hand/turret) that would be able to handle custom work. Seems a simple matter to just use a left hand die or cut threads in opposite direction. CNC piece could be removed or all operations run minus the threading. Oh well, thought I'd ask. Guess I'll try some other options/manufacturers. Thanks anyway.

Can't find the o-rings on the GA website. Please advise on where to purchase and what it would cost to have one shipped to 93455.

So I've got a GA tank and love it but recently my gauge started to "crack"? The tank is barely used so far and the birth date was only last year. Plus I always cover my gauge area with a wristband so it would never get hit or make direct contact with the ground.

But now theres a "crack" outta no where. I was wondering if its fine and I'm just over reacting about it. It looks like its cracking but theres no real visual crack nor do I feel anywhere that has a cracked feeling. The gauge still reads properly though.

Sounds like a "stress" crack in the polyurethane. This isn't common but it does occur occasionally. As long as the lens is intact and not actually cracked it is ok to use.

Cool, thats what I thought. I've just always had that there since I bought the tank online and when I started playing this year I felt like it got bigger. So I had to ask lol. But yeah, its not really cracked and no dirt or such gets into the gauge and it fills up fine.

And like it shows in the pic there isn't a real crack or anything in the lens.
