More than sufficient, Liners of tanks are aluminum and will dry completely if exposed to clean dry air.

Dow 33 will work although it will leave a residue and will require more frequent lubing. Dow 55 will swell your o-rings and is not recommended. Marmalade also will work. GA uses Chemplex 710, a silicon based lube available from GA.

I bought the original GA lube and its worth the few bucks it costs. For some reson the compressor at my local field puts a lot of condensation into my system. We are at winter here, but it might be too much even for the season. I had a 3000 charge on my 68/4500 and let it out at one controlled burst using an on/off, then opened the reg for maintenance and there was a lot of water drops inside the piston and reg walls... I really dont want to blow another burst again... :x

This was in the news section a few days ago.
------------------------
July 8th 2010
Los Angeles, CA / Chicago, IL
Guerrilla Air announced today that, together with Luxfer Cylinders, they are releasing the lightest 68/4500 tank in the market. The tank itself comes in at under 2 Lbs* (see pic below - 1 Lb 14.6 oz or 1.91 lbs) and has the dimensions of 4.42” in diameter and 8.5” in length. Coupled with a Myth regulator, the total air system weighs an astonishing 2 lbs 1 oz* (2.06Lbs) and is only 10” in total length!
------------------------
My question is: will these tanks be PI (and/or TC) certified or are they DOT approved only ???

Hi there GA dudes! A few questions if you would not mind.
1. Is any of your bottles available for purchase without an attached regulator? If so could you PM me how I would go about making that transaction a possability and how much it would cost me? (Im in Canada) Also, would the bottle be available with a TC stamp if no regulator is attached?
2. I have been trying to get my hands on one of those MacDev reg extenders for a while now and cannot seem to find a site with them in stock. You said that they would soon be available for purchase through you guys... If so, when?
Thanks in advance guys!

Unfortunately GA only sells bottles as part of a complete system.Sorry
The extender is a hot item and we are trying to expedite availability. No firm date at present.

Hey Larry,
I had a pinging issue with my g2 reg, I replaced the spring and the reg is still pinging. Any ideas on what I should do?

Possibly another spring change. Getting the ideal nest is a matter of getting the "perfect" match spring. We would be happy to look at your G2 if the ping i\becomes an issue.

my fill nipple on my myth2 reg has done nothing but leak. i took it to my local pro shop and the tech tried a couple different time to get it to stop leaking. now it barely holds a full fill over 3-4 hours.

First, the fill nipple port is tapered and designed to seal up using GA nipples. Other mfgs. use non-tapered threads on their nipples which will "stretch" the thread profile in the Myth port and cause leaking around the threads. The other important factor is to not overtighten the nipple into the port. The nipple should only be snugged enough to seal up. The GA nipples have a strut that must have enough room to open during the fill operation to allow air flow. If the nipple is too deep into the port the strut will bottom out in the port and the the o-ring will extrude from it's gland and fail to seal properly. Try using soapy water around the nipple to see where the leak is ocurring. Contact GA if you need help with the nipple.

I haven't had a chance to put water over each part yet but i will shortly today. I didn't notice any thread tape on any of the parts gauge, nipple, or burst disc.

Larry, one question, how many time should I keep my tank with air? I don't know if the reg orings receive damage from being constantly under pressure.

It's a good idea to leave a couple hundred pounds of air in your tank to retard moisture. Storing fully charged tanks for long periods does put your o-rings and internals under unneccesary strain.
