spring mod/ polish a clone bolt?

alright anyone tried either? EDIT scratch the spring idea, otheres ideas are welcome

i have had no fsdo problems so that is not my concern

clone owners could still benifit from lowering dwell/and or input pressures, if done properly we should get the same results as the luxe or shocker mod, gain even more efficiency and even smoother due to lower dwell and lower op

any thoughts on this? and if this is posed somewhere i havent found it but feel free to remove thead if i overlooked it

throw out ideas or thoughs? why not make a great gun that much better

so the most efficient spoolie running at 100psi with NO kick isn't good enough.

ok then. if you have no FSDO, it seems pretty dump to be tampering with something that isn't needing a solution to an issue like shockers always had. Shoot your gun, break it in, and it will be smoother anyways.

shooting it will improve it.

think of the operation of the clone/droid compared to a shocker... notice the bolt and valve? that's why a springmod would be counter productive anyways.

honestly, there really isn't anything to improve on it, it gets a case off a fill and is smoother than everything else out there.

I really think that Macdev does awesome at inventing and re-inventing so if it could be done it would be done. I know its just a question that was asked but like Curly says its a "no go!"

i agree the spring is a no go, but did they not use thinner o rings to reduce drag on the bolt for a reasson, therefore it would make sence there may be somthing to gain from polishing still? again guys this is just a little out of the box thinking

maybe, unless you bring down the material too far (tolerances are tight in their markers, mind you) then you'll just run the risk of inducing leaks.

use the Dow33 or Militia Lube. Shoot the gun, it will improve itself as it breaks in.

I've told you every time. Oil won't stay on orings, orings will in turn break or rip, you'll get leaks, break things, ect...

Yes, I have, I've owned multiple ICD markers actually and used that oil many times.

I am saying, if you start tampering with the marker, you'll end up doing more harm than good, simply stated.

The marker runs at a LOW pressure, if you start taping things to try and reduce the air you'll likely need to increase dwell or pressure to compensate for the drop over the valve and bolt.

The amount of air in these is rather specific and small compared to a DM, which is huge and FAR more than would ever be needed.

You seem bent on messing with your gun, so good luck, I've been trying to help you avoiding ruining it and having to buy new parts.
