Question Tippmann 68-Carbine Valve Probs?

My friend asked me to fix his 68-carbine. He said it was leaking air.

It was, the hoses needed to be replaced on his bottom line / expansion chamber.

After the hoses were fixed, I was test shooting the gun, but I stumbled across another problem.

As i shoot the gun it works good for a couple shots and then it acts as though it is out of air. If I shoot the gun without paintballs in it it also acts like there is no air immediatly.

I have also noticed that sometimes when you first plug the air in, the gun will leak out the barrel until you cock it.

Does anyone know how to fix the gun? I think there is a valve problem and wanted other opinions before I replaced it.

Well when you plug in the air let the gun be cocked, mine does it to! for the other part you may want to change your internal o-rings..

My old Carbine, which I am very proud to say I still own, did the same thing.
If a ball is not loaded the 68 carbine will act like it is out of air, as long as there is a ball in the chamber it should fire fine. The ball in the chamber creates an amount of blowback which is needed to recock the marker. Let me know if this helps...
