Diving or sliding tips???
Recently ive been playing with more advanced people at my field. I play snake, so i have to dive or slide into my bunker, but my field is mostly sand and patches of grass. So whenever i try to dive, I get nowhere and a face full of dirt. Anybody have any tips for me???

commit & be gracefull
back in the day when sc was dirty we still got down, practice a lot I guess.
more than sliding I would put my arm down & pivot almost into the snake. all you have to do is lay down in the blind spot, then you can crawl into the bunker. don't dive to get into a better position, do it to stay alive

commit, can't always be graceful though.. this weekend I went to knee slide on a new field of what must have been concrete from about a 20y full sprint and my knees hit with my weight back and went absolutely nowhere with my forearm then head first into the bunker but I came out shooting, stayed alive and got the kill and then got back into my bunker to check my self and figure out why in the world I did that.
If I would have tried to slide earlier, I would have had to crawl to my bunker or worse stop standing up. Sliding is for stopping and getting a playing position fast.
I'll admit turf is nice, you can dive over snake heels up no problem but I think most of us practice on dirt or perhaps there was grass on your sliding zone at one point in time.

sorry bro.. Save yourself and injury and just dont slide.. grainy sand and uneven playing field can easily take you out for months.

baseball slides work a lot better on sand/dirt than a full blown superman dive. but if you're on turf, take every opportunity to practice the supermans

Dont superman on sand...lol SImple..
Hip slide/baseball slide.. just switch it up kinda so you dont get shot going into snake...
If youve got grass by all means superman...
I always dive as low as humanly possible...because im a smoker..and i dont wanna knock the wind out of myself, with my palms up... landing on my chest..then get up on your knees..and fire away.

Don't try to get any distance out of the slide. Try sliding a little later and work on your form. Not sure if that will even help though.

The cool thing about a baseball slide is that you can usually keep your gun up, and if you know how, you can pop up from your slide.

no no no!
what you need to do is find out what bunker you are going to go off the break. go lay down your gun somewere near the bunker. explode to your bunker and you know your gun will be waiting for you there. ( unless someone takes it, then your out of luck. )

You could always just be 30 years old and get up to about 220 like me and not have to worry about such moves.

when your paddling out to duck under waves move all your weight to the front of the board the paddle underneath the wave ( if you have a long board you will find it harder )
also if you find your struggling to go under the wave you can turn your board side ways to the wave and roll of under the wave bringing the board with you.
hope it helps
