I used 100s and would walk the length of the basketball court, drop them at the end and sprint 2 lengths. For rest I walked 2 lengths and immediately started over again. I was planning on 20 total reps but only got 13 farmer walks and I added 2 more sprints on the end totaling to 15.

The only thing that really got me was grip strength which led the DBs to kinda lean against my wrists. I got a nice looking bruise on my left wrist from that right now. I think if I could rig up a bar so that the plates wouldn't touch my wrists I would be able to do much more for longer periods of time.

Same thing happens to me though with my wrists. Wear wrist wraps if you have them. They add some padding to the area where the dbs hit. The day after I did the 150s I had trouble moving my wrist because of how bruised/sore they were

I wish I had a pair of 150s to try this.

Hmm...good idea. So you just wear the straps without wrapping them around the DB?

Wraps. Not straps. If you use straps on farmers walks you are a dirty ****ing cheater

seeing as the whole point is to improve grip, using straps would be pretty dumb.

Well I would guess that straps without actually putting them around the DB would work the same, in this case. He wasn't talking about actually using them in the way that they're meant for.

I can't find my gym bag, so instead of lifting in my wrestling shoes like I normally do, I lifted in socks. I kinda liked it.

Military press- 3x5@135. **** **** ****ity **** **** ****. First two sets were alright, then I failed after two reps on the third because for some ******* reason, I decided to try a really wide grip on that set. Then I did the remaining 3 as singles. Time to reset to 115 or so.

Squat- 3x5@305. Easy. I'll get 315 like no other on Friday. Then, I'll test my max next week.

Barbell rows- 3x5@125. These are lighter because I'm switching from pendlay rows to normal BB rows, and I like to start lighter whenever I start a new lift.

Also, I noticed that these past two days were the first time I'd ever been sore in every major muscle group I hit on my last workout. I was especially surprised at how sore my back was/still is, because deads usually don't leave me sore afterwards, except for maybe in the hamstrings a bit. I'll go for 325 Friday.

no, straps do not work the same unless you put them around the DB.

It would still pad his wrist from the db's hitting them during farmers walks, so I think they would work the same as wrist wraps in this case. He is not talking about using them to help with grip.

Alright ****s, that wasn't what I was implying. I got mixed up between wraps and straps. I only have straps, they aren't very great padding but it would be better than nothing I suppose

Either I used a bunk scale last night, or I've lost about 20 pounds in the past few months. I still feel about the same size though. Maybe a little more definition, but nothing drastic.

If the scale was right, I'm now 6'8'', 180. Am I dying?

Dam, good ****.

I got 155 on bench for my new max, progress.

We maxed for deadlift today but I decided not to cause I didn't feel I could maintain my form. Did 300 3 times.

Tree fiddy for 5 from a 4" or so deficit. I haven't measured it so it may only be 3.5" but I was still pleased. Think I had another rep or two in the tank as well.

Then I got yelled at for making too much noise. My college gym is really starting to grate on my nerves. There's another place slightly farther away I might check out tomorrow that claims they're a "competition class" establishment.
