ITT: We talk about how our day at the gym went.

I had a great lift today at the gym, I was rushed because I had to get my hair cut at 1 and I got in the gym at 11:30. But besides that I got everything I needed to get done, just in a little bit of a shorter time then usual.

How was your lift today?

Pyrosive helped look for balloons
Takes an hour to get to work and an hour to get back. By then time I was done lifting it'd be 10 30 and I'd still have hw to do.

no lifting for me today, just **** tons of eating. so far im at
4 eggs, two pieces of toast
3or4 cups of brown rice, 1/4lb+ ground beef
6 cups of milk
lots of almonds
later tonight i have 2 filet mignons waiting to be cooked up and served with some asparagus and rice =D
have to get a few more snacks in as well

im starting to really enjoy cooking, maybe because i do it so often

dude when i came home i **** you not, we literally had NO meat in the refrigerator. no milk either. we sersiouly just had bread and apples and orange juice. i'm sick as **** with strep throat though so i doubt i would be eating much anyway. i'm gonna be weaker when i come back to school next week, but i shouldn't be sick anymore

Just realized my DB shoulder press is catching up to my flat DB bench. I think I definitely have an issue arising. What is everyone's lb difference from their DB shoulder press to DB flat bench? Using totals btw, so just a random # being shoulder press 75's and flat bench 80's = 10 lb difference total.

Used chalk today for the first time ever= GRAYT SUCCESS! Raped deadlifts, 345 for 8 reps new PR.

Also it is the kind that is in that little bag so it doesnt get all over the place meaning I can be sneaky with it.

I'm a longtime lurker but want to start posting to help keep motivation up. I started Starting Strength last week and I like the routine. It's my first foray into the basic/primary lifts on a regular basis, so I'm still worried about form, especially on the dead lift. Today went like this:

Squat: 70kg (154lbs) 5x5
Dead: 60kg (132lbs) 1x5
Overhead press: 40kg (88lbs) 5x5 (disappointing, wanted to do 50kg)

To put the numbers in perspective I'm 5'11, 170lbs, and in moderate shape (i.e. athletic, but a bit too much body fat).
