Geo efficincy problum
Need some advice on geo efficiency..
I followed the steps in this category on how to tune your geo, I first set my gun back to the factory settings, i than cronoed my gun to 290 as the thread stated, i than started shooting and lowering my dwell as stated and than started to rase my dwell as stated, till i came to 11.2. I played that day and i got ruffly a hopper and 3 and a half pods, on a PMI 50/45, does this sound correct to any one? If im misreading please tell me if its normal let me know, thanks
ps sorry for not spell checking the tittle

Sounds okay for a 50/45.
I use a 68/45 so I can't give you an average for a 50/45

If your really trying to squeeze as much paint out of your Geo I would screw the VVC screw all the way in, chrono, then get the dwell as low as you can without velocity dropping off, and either match your paint or under bore. Some people say the GST kit helps it some, I wouldn't know.
Geo's aren't known for the best efficiency, but they are great guns.

With the VVC screw out I get eight pods and a hopper with a fill between 3700/4000 on my 68ci shooting 275/280 fps. I figure that's very decent efficiency.... not EGO numbers of course, but more than I figure most guys go out on the field with who are not back players.

As stated, a better bore fit will help with efficiency, as will dwell tuning, as you have already.
Backing your velocity off a little would also help.
Make sure the bolt tip o-ring is in good condition in order to prevent unnecessary blow back.
Check that your solenoid's back check ball isn't less than 4.00mm in diameter, and that the hole behind the can's o-ring is just a pin hole, no larger.

I've seen a friend's Geo being very unefficient , but he uses the stock barrel... What happens is that most of the times you'll be using small paint...
I have my VVC screw all the way out, and still I can make a 8.0 dwell without a GST kit.. but I have a .686 lucky 15 in there though... this can give me two pods for every 500-1000 psi I use from a 68ci tank. I can give only a rough number though, I'm not comfortable to be more specific than that. But I THINK the number would be close to 700 psi.
My team's captain also had a geo for a while, he told me his was also very efficient, and he used a 16" dye ultralight with sly CF tip on his.
