Pads
I just made the switch from playing recball to tournament paintball. While I was playing recball, I saw no need for pads. Now, that I am playing tournament ball though, I see the need.
I've been to my local store, and have tried the dye, eclipse, and empire pads on, but they all seem to feel great. So, from other peoples personal experiences while playing, which have you seen to be the best, durable, and protective?
Yes, I did read the reviews, but that helped me none at all

Ok to start off dye makes IMO the best pads out of all slider shorts, elbow, and knee they are really expensive thou but hey you get what u pay for. Next I would say planet eclipse really vented elbow pads and inexpensive. Now empire thou while there pads are nice they seem to rip very easy you can't go wrong with any of them but if you
have a the extra cash I would say spend a little extra and get the dye ones

My personal opinion is that Dye pads are the best. They are the only pads that I have ever worn. Easily worth the extra money you pay for them.
EDIT: Just to add a tidbit of info, Ive been playing 5+ years and have only bought two pairs of elbow pads and still use my original set of knee pads I bought when I first got into tourney ball. And I bought the second set of elbow pads at MAO last year. Worth the money if you ask me.

I don't wear my knee pads if it is too hot outside though.
Here in carolina it gets pretty warm.

I have the new Dye Performance set. I love em. I have no complaints. 100 bucks give or take for a set off ebay.

i use dye knees and eclipse elbow. Most of my teammates use the same. But one of them uses sly elbow pads. They seem to hold up well and feel pretty nice. i might switch over to them. you really cant go wrong with any of them tho. I say look at what you consider the biggest issue and buy the winner of that.
