And this is removed from where the oring sits; this is the oring that gets crushed when fully threaded in to create a seal.
I remember reading that some people were modding their bodies....seems like this could be done in a matter of minutes....
But any idea on a spring? Never got one when I bought my valve, and I've never had a viking, so I'm uncertain as to which spring would be ideal.
Thanks
EDIT - Just went to mock up my frame/solenoid; turns out my noid screws are too small of a diameter. Strange, but now it will be fun finding two small screws...

Yes, removed at the step of the outer body of the lpr to make the thing screw in further, so the oring at the back will go past the air passage hole and seal in the tube. I would mod the lpr rather than the body, because if you want to use the proper EvilM lpr later, you still could, and after all the work to build the thing, the cheaper part between the body and lpr would be the lpr.

I have a few spare ones of correct length and threading, but the head is slightly larger than recess on the solenoid. They'll hold the solenoid just fine, but you'd need to account for a few extra millimeters of vertical clearance. Otherwise, just wait for ASP to get more in because finding one with JIS heads in a small quantity is near impossible.

edit. Just saw your craigslist post and realized you're using a PMR UL frame. I suggest checking with Jared since he's fairly local, otherwise you're stuck waiting on ASP to restock them.

Anyone mod an PE EGO Star frame for an Evil M yet? If so, what were the challenges in the moddification, and do you have pics? I have been searching the threads, but could not find one.

KPCS made a tray to fit an Ego frame.

A STAR frame is flat across the top though. Forgive me, but I have not owned an EGO. Was the tray made to fit a standard Ego frame (which are usually curved across the top), or was it made because there was not room in the frame for the noid?

The frame is not deep enough to hold the solenoid without using a tray.

You could use the star frame if you changed the solenoid mount.

Where would you have to relocate the solenoid mount too? And how much more work would that be then building a tray?
As you guys can see, I am trying to decide wich frame to use. I can't seem to run down a legend set up with a Tadao Board, only ones with the WAS.
I have an 06 Borg frame, but not the board. For those of you using the borg frame, what Board and eye system are you using?

To relocate the solenoid you would need to create a manifold the would use barbs or m3 fittings. This would kind of be costly if it was a one of production. It would be cheaper if more were made to offset the cos of design and machine setup/time. Technically you might still need a tray depending on room in the frame for solenoid and board. You could get away with a small board like a UTB.
Well you could always try and source the Tadao board later, or you could Talk with Will at Tadao and see if he has any or any of his retailers might have any left over stock.
For the Borg frame they are using the stock Borg board or Virtue and stock Borg eyes.

Thanks a lot for answering my questions guys. It looks like I will be forgoing the Star Frame as it is going to be a little more work then I wanted to complete. If anyone knows where I can run down a fame w/ Tadao Board for a legend, or suggestions on the bord to use in the bog frame, I would appreciate the help.

I would get a Legend frame if it had a was or Tadao board no matter what. The Borg frame has one slight issue of the original eye covers leaving holes on the frame that would require custome grips being made to cover the holes.

I agree with TheeePsycho. The legend frame flows better and you do not have the eye hole problem.

Hard to come by and when you do, usually pay a pretty penny.

Why not call Warped Sportz LA and see if they have any for sale. Seeing how correct me if I'm wrong that is who makes and sells infinity legends. That and Tadao boards is what comes stock now with them.

Could you easily use the Humphrey HEA10F5-GL-101W Solenoid for an M provided you had the barbs in the body.

I talked with infinity. They could get me a frame and board, but only had WAS boards left.

Why aren't more people using the UTB?
I prefer it to most boards, and it's smaller, cheap, readily available, upgradable, etc.

No idea as I would use it if I was using any other frame that didn't have a board that wasn't upgrade able on the software.
