Nothing should need to be plugged for a first time anodizing job.

what psycho said. Plus on a raw unanodized evil M body, if you plug anything you will have bores with bare aluminum. Which would be unprotected. Just a thought, If you going with a simple dust black, why not go with ATMF's Type 3 black anno (what was on the vikings and excaliburs).
ATMF does the best acidwashes & splashes though

Ah so you bought theothers / popenewb's Evil-M very nice.
Very nice gun but the anodizing wasn't completely polished in the areas that dip down and red is missing in some areas.

yeah had it for awhile now. i think some parts of the milling was a lil rough and not smooth and would make it pretty difficult to polish but i think the anno still looks great and gives it character

I've finally amassed all the parts for my M. Still looking at milling and solenoids. Probably gonna use both frames, the sidewinder, and the hybrid asa on the left, and maybe another to use on the field

Jared has my Evil-M right now and is doing his thing with it. I will have him send it in to be anodized soon. The anodizing will be simple though, type 3 anodizing.

Interesting collection of parts you have there, especially with the intimidator asa. I'm personally a fan of MeuroM's VASA adaptor for the sidewinder and SST regulators.

If you don't mind telling, how much is he charging to fix them? Mine is completely assembled, and cycles a little bit. However, I don't have the time to really fix it. All I need is a good tuning and an anno.

I can let you know if he invoices everything separately as I'm having him do about 5 or 6 things too it. Hopefully it doesn't run me too much. No idea if he is busy or not right now so not sure where I am on his work stack, but the things he is doing shouldn't be too difficult.
I just realized I forgot too send two parts with the project too get anodized.

ah, ok. I have had mine sitting in my closet for a while now. Picked it up yesterday and fell in love with it again. lol. After shooting old school cockers for a while now, I forgot how light it was.

Yeah technically my M was done besides anodizing but now I'm just having some final touch ups done too it.
Speaking of cockers, I need to do two things to my Merlin too finish it.

Third times a charm. After having Tony "overlook" my order on the first run of frames, cancel it on the second run, I finally got one. Everything appears to line up, although he only tapped the holes for the board half way through, and on the wrong half . Need to have those holes tapped, would like to get the bottom edges rounded and then it's time for polishing and anno.

The frame looks good. Wish he wouldn't have put in the hole for the trigger pin as it's kind of unnecessary I think.

Figured id update you guys on the trays
Im finishing up a slimmer tray than the fat proof of concept one I posted a while back. What im doing is using a Angel LCD frame and opening it up a bit to accommodate the little bit of the noid that sticks out of the tray. If the rear screw of the frame screws into the tray at the back hole on the body some metal needs to be removed from the trigger for operation. The front hole on the body is counter sunk in the tray so the front angel hole can be located wherever it needs to go.
This whole tray business is a big hastle honestly so I dont think ill ever make a bunch of them since they need to be made per specific frames. I have some prototyped blems I might make available if asked tho for a good price.
Essentially they are ones where I messed up cosmetically in my internal milling and you wouldnt be able to see it on the outside.
Ill do a later revision with a Viking frame when I get ahold of one as I THINK it would be better suited for this. Imma go head to lowes to get some longer screws so I can mount everything up.

Sounds nice Shibby. The only thing about using a Viking frame is where is the board going to go? With the noid and stuff up in the tray, would you have room to mount the board in there as well?

thats why i need to locate a dirt cheap Vike frame to work with
heres the slimmer tray with a LCD frame.
if someone wanted to use a angel frame I have a buddy who can make a wired eye interface to use say angel virtue boards.
I actually like how this feels better than the Borg frame for some reason.

The frame tray looks nice with MeuroM's milling. It would be very easy to fit a cyborg board in there I would think.

We all knew trays were gonna be a bit big and it just annoys me that we were right about it.
Anyone else have progress to report? Seems a few have had nice gains lately what about the rest of you who still have "bricks" whats yalls status?
