100% sure

Your are probably neglecting to lube the outside front piece of the blast guide and the corresponding area in the inside front engine half.
Orings that bear against the donut should be well lubed too.

What he missed in the video, is that the top of the blast guide, the area that the spring sits over, needs a coat of lube.
The corresponding part in front engine has an oring and it needs to be lubed.
Pay attention, visualize what I posted earlier and your problems will go away!

That's the first time I've heard that you need to lube the top of the blast guide, thanks! There's another maintenance video somewhere on youtube where the user was lubing that part, or a little on the spring or something, and getting flamed for it in his comments section. Would a good lubing of the front engine corresponding part be enough to catch both sections (front engine/blast guide), or do you personally always put a little coat on the metal itself?

Also, is this good practice for any SC'd Engine, or only the Victory?

There just a small oring in the opening of the front engine can. Lack of lube there will restrict movement of the valve guide. If u just look at it, it's common sense.

Not sure if this will help but mine went full auto, brand new SC engine installed by Blast. I did however mess with my trigger so it was very close, Blast guys told me to mess around with my debounce settings and to not set the trigger so close to the microswitch. So far it worked and running pretty smooth. If you do call Blast talk to Matt, nice guy and he'll get you squared away.
