question about the geo
well im thinking of getting one cause i love how the BL marq feels. But i want to try out the geo.
1. whats pressure is for the geo? LP or HP?
2.do you have to tech the lpr when you first get it? if so do they have a tester for that? (like the bl marq tester)
3. whats the best barrel you every had on a geo that made it ball on ball?
4.does the prophecy feel good on the geo? (i have two rotors and know how they feel on the gun)
5.is the tadao USB board worth the money??
thanks

heh, you are too set in the mindset of a marq
there is no lpr, since its not a poppit valve. Its a spooly.
Barrel is up to you, I have the stock barrel on my ego, and it works just fine. Stock bore on these is 693
The stock board on eclipse is sick. You dont need anything else, spend the cash from the yazuka on a GST kit, and your gun will shoot so well

1. Use HP tank or get a LP spring for the Geo`s HPR
2. There is no LPR
3. Same as every other marker, but the Geo is ball on ball every time (its amaising!)
4. Personal reference
5. Stock board will cover your needs, I think after market boards for PE markers is a downgrade.
Buy the GST kit and you will never shot anything else!
Oh yeah, one more thing, the Geo NEVER chops a ball.

Not much to add over what has already been said.
All I'll say is that if you need recreational style firing modes, or need NXL mode, then the Yakuza board is a great choice. If all you ever need is semi or ramping, just stick with the stock board - it does everything you need in relation to those two modes.

1) Use an HP tank
2) No LPR
3) Stock is my favorite
4) Prophecy feels good on the Geo. Ithink it looks better than rotor, but that is just my opinion. Both work super on the geo.
5) Nothing wrong with the stock. If it were better, PE might include as stock.

prophecy feels good to me.. i have one
.685 shaft3 back, get the barrel kit
get the st kit....
my geo doesnt break paint...ever, shot breach that had flat spots that made the balls almost square and used my .693 because they wouldnt fit in the .685 or .689 and didnt break any, they shot like crap curving everywhere but they didnt break.. and it was like 30*

I run a sly kit on mine and love it...maybe a little more quiet a little less weight but honestly your barrel is gonna be preference.
I have both Rotor and Prophecy, love my profile with my white camo rotor...plus it matches my Geo - lol yeah I'm like that!

Prophecy ftw. Feels good and looks good, plus it doesn't destroy paint.

the best barrels are always gonna be carbon fiber... but they break easily so you'll rarely see pros playing with them.
I use lucky fifteens and they are great...

+1 in regards to using the stock board and getting the GST kit.
I use a prophecy and deathstix barrel kit on my GEO. Shoots awesome, love it so much that I relegated my SL94 to backup status..

I actually will respectfully disagree with this completely. I have never seen any scientific evidence of CF barrels doing anything but lightening your load. And with the GEO, some people have complained that the GEO "lifts" more than some spoolies because it is already so light. So it actually benefits (IMO) from a heavier barrel that will hold it more in place during long streams of paint.
The best barrels are solid brass. But since they are no longer made save few exeptions...I am still a fan of stainless over aluminum. I got the full freak insert kit in SS, which I loved. But I have since moved to non insert Pepperstix and love them as well, even though they are aluminum. By far my least favorite are CF.
And an old trick to make stainless or aluminum shoot through breaks superbly is just spray the inside down with Rain-X. Sometimes I dont even know i have broken paint it shoots through it so well.

CF barrels are kinda overrated IMO.

Hate to break it to you but Carbon Fiber is like 5x times stronger then aluminum. Aluminum is actually one of the weakest metals.

Actually carbon fiber is only as strong as the way it was woven, it's strength is completely dependent on it's design. The CF barrels on the market are absolutely no more durable than any other barrel on the market. They ALL shoot the same, and scratch and damage the same, Aluminum is more brittle than other metals, because it is more porous and less dense, but it is no less strong given the application.

Only time I will need to worry about how strong a barrel is when I plan on doing a deep core sample on a regular basis... Or when pb allows full body contact if you run out of paint.... Which in my case, will be zero to none in both scenarios
weight wise is pretty minimal... Most noticable difference in weight generally disappear once the game is started. I don't remeber the last time I had a game when I get bogged down because my barrel was too heavy (except for a long scenario day when I was carrying my A5 with a M16 apex barrel and other attachments )
but saying that, I do run with a stiffi tip freak barrel becuase I like the way it look

QFT. It not only shoots well but man do it look good! Just sold my buddy one of the LE SL2 kits that I bought a month or so ago for his geo (I have a few SL 2 kits) and it is noticeably lighter than the stock barrel.
I just cannot get used to the 16 in tip tho. its cool to have but I have only used it 2-3 times.
