I was never a fan of the "platinum" before but that looks very nice.

I think the Platinum needs the "right" color on it to look right. I'm just afraid to see what it looks like once it gets dirty.
it's one of my teammates guns. two of use got black and slime.

Oh... I WANT THAT! Haha, beautiful gun man. My ideal colors would be opposite though, mostly green and accents platinum. Yummmm.

Never seen an Alien before this weekend at PSP Phx, but they are very nice in person. Those grips are butter. The gun is very impressive to hold. So much so, my team mate bought one. Hopefully, it will shoot great as well.

it should. i have found that it is hard to set the lpr pressure on hte 08's, takes a long time to do. the 09's and 10's seem to be very easy to set, i hope he likes his new gat

The 09 is indeed very easy to set. Shoot 5 cases, turn your lpr in 2 to 3 turns and up the dwell to 14(really just optional). But turning in the lpr will make for a much smoother shot

Seems like the out the box settin for the 2010t is LPR flush and dwell at 12. As soon as I can get a few cases in I'll start to fiddle with fine tuning.

Jack set my 09 about 4 threads showing in the lpr(turned in), and gave me the new 2010 pistons. Very quiet, very smooth. Give that a try when you get the chance. Then again you do have bigt for info too.

trust me I've spent some time fiddling with this thing. I turn it in and I can't get it over 270. I've only put 3 cases through it so far so once I get a few more cases through it I'll be able to make some more adjustments. BT has his set pretty much like mine flush and dwell at 12. my LPR is probably a half turn further out than his but he has more paint thru his than I do. he goes twice a week where as I'm only out there once a week.

It really depends on how you're using the gun. 4 threads in will work on semi no problem but if you want 15bps ramp.......you may have to go to two threads in.

Honestly, I found my 09 ran way better with grease as well. If you're using just oil on everything, you may want to try grease. You should be able to run lower than flush after 4 cases. Check your HPR output as well, you need to be at 220ish.

Haha I figured you had, not sure how many cases i've put through my 09 now. But don't recall the velocity drop. I bought it used so that might be the difference. Glad you like it though!

You're not saying it won't go over 270 just that it won't if you turn it in ...right?

And yes, greese is better than the KC Trouble Free. We have started using "Magnalube" on everthing now.

correct. If I turn the LPR in from where I have it currently the gun wouldn't shoot over 270. My current setup works perfectly. Is smooth and is fairly quiet.
If it ain't broke don't fix it if you ask me. There has only been 3 cases put thru it so it's only going to get better. Like I already said I'll worry about fiddling with it some after case 10.

You could also try bumping your dwell up a bit. With less LPR pressure, you may need more dwell to keep the valve open time longer. If the smoothest shot is more important than efficiency you can give it a shot. Or like you said, just give it time.

everything about the setting I have right now I like. it's really smooth, it has great efficiency(I only carry 3 pods and can go at least 2 full rounds without any problem on a 50/4500). sound is great and consistency is great as well. I have zero complaints about the marker itself. Now I just need 4C eyes. a couple of the guys on my team have them.

Good stuff. The 4C eyes are awsome if you play semi auto. That extra one or two bps you gain is nice on the break.
