I used a check it sniper today and my friends prostock.

the checkit was definately smoother, felt better but it was sorta heavy.
the prostock had a bent in the cocking arm or soemthing (not to familar with pump) so he had to tripple up on srpings so it wasnt the easiiest or smoothest pump but was great fun.

i love pump but after a day i miss semis already. im goignt o get a pump tho. just to have. (:

The only 'mod' that you'd have to do is unscrew the steel hose from the gas through grip and then screw on your regulator in it's place.

I'd highly recommend getting 2 macroline fittings and a foot of macroline for $10 or so. Makes it so much easier to work with(removing the regulator, switching ASA's, etc.).

No, a reg will go into the same spot that the gas through went.

My friend has the pmp kit on his pump, it's actually pretty good. I wouldn't mind having a trilogy with that pump kit as a backup

First off, you need a return spring on the pump kit to help .
If the pump wasn't smooth, then there's likely something wrong with either the pump kit or the internals of the gun. Possibly the drive spring is too heavy or there is some rubbing of parts.

The pump kit on my trilogy is smooth like butter.. Almost as smooth as my CCM Deluxe lol.

No, there's no mods you need to do, but since the Trilogy Sport is a higher pressure gun, you need a reg that will output at least 500psi. (I've found that 500psi is about where a Trilogy Sport runs best.)

A lot of regs have a maximum output of 500psi, so they aren't the best choices. Cp regs, for example, work, but they have to be turned all the way up.

Right now I'm using an Evil Detonator reg on mine, and it works wonderfully. (Shoots +/-2fps over the chrono if I underbore with good paint - can't really ask for better than that.)

Other examples of regs that would work great are Palmer's Stabilizers and AKA regs, plus they are the best regs on the market.

Honestly, having used my Prostock with a pump kit and my Trilogy with a pump kit - there is virtually no performance difference between the two. My Trilly with a pump kit is just as smooth as any pump I've shot, much, much smoother than a Phantom or SL-68, for example. I also improved mine by half-blocking it. It took a very noticable amount of weight off the gun, and looks nicer. It's not a beautiful gun by any means, but it's a workhorse. And when I play pump, I play aggressively and don't have time to baby a $600 gun. My $.02...

^^^Hey post some pics of that Halfblock trilly.

I have a Polished Trilogy Pro I am looking to sell if you're interested. It is like new, but you would have to buy a pump kit. Can post pics. Let me know.

I put a PMP kit on my brother-in-law's trilly comp, and he loves it.

I've got my Trilogyies sweetspotted at about the 180psi operating range. Oddly enough, my old WGP regs are shooting a bit more consistent than my CP and AKA reg using a .679 Freak lol.

But definitely, the Prostock and Trilogy make excellent shooting pumps.

I have owned/built trilogy pumps, prostock pumps, outkast pumps, 2k2s, 2k3s, pre 2ks, etc. I ran an S6 all last year.

What do these guns have in common? You can ball with all of them. Build a trilly pump, play with it, and if you want to go bigger, sell it and build a new gun.

so whats considered the pecking order of trilogy pump kits from good to bad. it seems like the new pmp kit is one of the best and their old one is very good too. the hooptie kit seems ok but requires permenant mods to the gun. how is the sm kit. it looks ok but i dotn know anything about it.

I have the older pmp kit on my trilly comp and it works great, I like the feel of the pump handle. Lifetime warranty, too.

Need some advice: For a smooth pump stroke, should I get a delrin o-ringless bolt or one with 2 o-rings? Will I have problems with blowback or the drag caused by the rings?

i run oring-less on my mech trilogy and its great. it has grooves for orings but i never needed them, when i did try them i had to turn up all my pressures so i know it was dragging more.
