Trilogy Pump

So i want to get a first pump gun, for recball purposes, i will be using a crossfire 45/45 with it and a winchester hopper. not sure if that matters.
But i want to know if a trilogy pump is a good first pump marker? and will it be fine for redball purposes? I dont want to get it and automatically want a newer, better pump, but i dont want to spend a lot of money as i dont have a lot right now.

Are they good first time around pumps guns? That i wont want to sell and get a new one right away?

thanks

they are great starter pumps, the dont look super cool and you can customize the internals as much but for the price, its tough to beat

yea they dont look the coolest but as of now im more for performance than looks, i can always spice it up in my own way anyways.

you say customize the internals, what exactly do you mean?

and i have a j&j 10 inch barrel the bores are nice with the paint i use, is 10 inches to short? will it still be accurate?

and whats the downside from these as to prostocks?

AFAIK the trilogy is made cheaper. I wish that I had my prostock ATM, I would do a side by side for you.

one you make it a pump there arent mant up sides t the prostock. you have more options for valves on prostocks and the front to back of the bottem tube it a bit shorter but if you are new to pump, you would care or notice

Trilogy is a great intro pump. The J & J should be fine.

If you can find a Trilogy pro (or at least one with a reg instead of a gas through) I think that's a better option.

AFAIK? and i know the triligoy is cheaper but what is the advantages of the prostock?

and i really like the look of autococker pumps, thats why i am asking about the trilogy not kaos, but i do consider them, and last weekend when i was out a guy had a prostock, loved the look of it but i dont have the money for them right now. figured the trilogy being made by the same compony was decent, and its cheap.

i dont think the trilogy is what im looking for, i think its better in my interest to get a gun that i will keep.

i reeally like the prostock

Makes the gun run at a higher operating pressure. You want loooowww pressure

Get a cocker off here, slap on a pump kit, and youre good to go. Honestly, I like Trilogy pumps about as much as any other cocker pump.

Depends on which version of the Trilogy you get.
By the way, if you do get one, PBGateway is selling a Trilogy pump kit for $19.99 now

Yes. You really can't buy a "bad" pump (wal-mart aside) it's mostly preference.

AFAIK: As far as I know.

I finally got my prostock (yesterday) and was able to put a hopper through it.
Both markers have the WGP pump kit on them and have stock lower tubes.

The trilogy was lighter, the prostock was smoother. I like the frame better on the prostock (personal pref, I like 2 finger hinges over 1.5 finger hinges) The main difference between the two is the upgradability. The trilogy will always be just that, a cheaper version of a classic design. Don't get me wrong, it is not a bad marker, it is perfectly fine. The prostock has more upgradability, and will hold its value better. If you are looking for something to mess around with, get the trilogy. If you think you might start to play pump more and more often, get the prostock and build it.

BTW, the checkit v2 is a new production prostock with a pump kit.
