Yes, I usually run a VSC setup with a bomb tank cover, so I can get in really tight when I need to. It's also easier to move with less gear. It's fun.

The UWL has a pump-only position for both Open and Skills, and I have been that guy in a couple of games. Frankly, I have not felt outgunned in those games, though admittedly I have had a time or two that I wished I had another ball to throw right away. I rarely feel outgunned on the speedball field where the confines are tighter than the woods, but more often than in woodsball tourney, where there is more room.

You don't really have a choice to play with your pump against semi markers. Its not like I can afford to outfit 9 to 10 guys with pumps anymore.

Pump only games a few and far between.
Most games are against semis and electros.

Local field had a year long series of tournaments, myself and two others made up the only team using pumps.
We came in seventh out of 49 teams for the year.

I love playing pump against semis. I am more comfortable that way.

Now pump vs pump.. That is scary to me.

with a pump you have the advantage of knowing you only have one shot at a time while in a fire fight and that you pretty much have to snap shoot every shot. the guy using the semi/electro probably knows you only have one shot but generally they aren't experienced against pump players these days and tend to hang outside their bunker waiting for you to snap shoot. well if you're good at snap shooting that other guy is already shot before he pulls the trigger. just practice your snap shooting and you can tear MOST, not all, semi/electro players apart.

I havent in a long time but last month when practice ended early I decided to play some walk on with some semi players with their egos and the like at tombstone... and I actually had a good time. The skills I've learned just playing pump vs pump really showed and it gave me a gauge on how I have progressed as an overall paintball player.

Ya most of the time for me it is some pumps and some semis. Southern cally has a pretty good pump reputation and most ppl know pumps and what's up.

Pump is kinda second nature for me cause in a battle a coulpe good snap shots can either kill or put that other player in and then you just control that zone, which make them only able to be out long enough toshoot one ball before going back in. It kinda equalizes the firefight for me, and when I get a good angle, I just don't miss (practice shooting yourgun at a target so when that chance comes, you can make the shot)

It's gunner for me cause being outgunned isn't a big deal for me since I normaly play against egos dm's or angels

pump v semi games are the vast majority of everybodies pump experience. Beginners will feel outgunned, but later on you'll just have fun puttin shots on everyone, lol. It's always fun to be the pump guy who saved the day.

Pump v Pump games are very fun too, but harder imo. It seems that pump players are usually the best PLAYERS at the field. Playing on an even playing field with them only makes their advantage of skill show through. I haven't played many pump only games, but i can say i was a better player by the end of the day, lol.
