If cold, increase the dwell 1ms or 2ms to make it easier on paint.
Tuning guide... not much really, just balance the regs. It will kick as it is new. Break it in with 5 cases of paint before tweaking things..

Need Help. I have a 2013 Demon that shoots without any bolt stick or burp. But I can hear a small air leak from the top of the trigger frame?
Thinks I've done.
Changed o-rings inside the can's and the bolt o-ring.
Replaced the transfer tube o-ring.
Battery if full.
Reset the board to factory setting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Playing here in the cold (20ºF - 40ºF), we've found that a dwell of 18 and slick honey lube works perfect.

Can you hear it coming out of the Trigger area or behind it like the back cap area?
Sounds like you might need to:
a) Tighten down the manifold and the solenoid screws air it up and check for leaks again.
b) Remove the manifold inspect the o-rings that seal the Manifold to the Body of the Marker. Replace any damaged o-rings lube W/ Dow55. While your at it do the same to the Transfer Pipe as well. Wait about an hour than air it up again.

Hey frank, I called you a while back, I fixed the main leak I called you about, o-ring was missing atop the manifold. Now that I've fixed that issue it works perfectly however when i'm rollin on the trigger it sounds like its exhausting out through the trigger frame. The demon seals perfectly when not firing. I've done a full disassembly and can't find a single damaged o-ring. I am one of only two demon-owners in my community and the other is puzzled by this as well. It works perfectly but my air efficiency is complete crap. Its a major concern but I hope it won't get worse. any thoughts.

That is normal when shooting. All markers vent... shockers out through the back of the bolt chamber, Egos from front grip... Demons through the trigger area when shooting.

Can you explain what you mean when you say your efficiency is crap?
What is your chrono?
What is your Dwell?
What is your output on your tank reg?

Hey all.. New to the Vanguard Demon family.. Just got my Demon couple weeks ago and the first time I went to air it up, it had a vicious leak coming from the upper grip frame... All o-rings seem to be o.k, but I don't know how else to trouble shoot this problem..

If the air is coming from the Upper Grip Frame, Separate the Frame from the Body:
a) check the Transfer Air Pipe and inspect the orings and make sure the orings are not damaged.
b) separate the Manifold from the Body inspect the oring and make sure the oring is not damaged.
c) separate the Solenoid from the Manifold inspect the orings and make sure the orings are not damaged.
Re-Lube put it all back together wait 30 minutes air it up and test fire
(Rule of thumb; remove all doubt replace the oring)

It's a 2012 with the 2013 upgrades. Bought it used, and the previous owner had sent the marker to MA(vanguard center) to get the upgrades and tune it before it was sent to me...

hey guys HELP, i have just got a demon with 2013 internals, the was a slight leak from behind the grip , so i took the bolt out and changed the o rings and lubed where needed, it was still happening so i took the HPR off and checked that, when i put the HPR back on , the marker now does not cycle and it pops a bit, (it does not fire), if it had been a 2012 i would of thought it was the diaphragm but as it has 2013 internals not sure what to do

Popping or short cycling is caused by damaged or worn Shuttle Valve orings. Those are QTY 4 23x1 Metric orings. When you re-insert the drive train make sure you put a tiny bit of lube on the outside of the body so you dont knick them going in.

Also make sure u tighten the back down a little more than hand tight with allen key because I have seen some come lose while playing if hand tightened and then u will blow shuttle O rings instantly

I dont think they ever polished them - certainly not when I got mine done back in August/September.
However, it wasn't as sharper (apart from the back cap thread, which I have sliced myself many times on it!).

I polish the inside of the body during upgrade. Those 23x1s are so thin they can get destroyed by just about anything. So I do polish the inside body where the new holes are drilled. I also polish the outside of the shuttle guide so that the 23x1s on the inside have a nice smooth surface.
