Purchased a 2k3 vision impulse about two years ago, never got around to gassing it up til this week, naturally there was a leak. Started to strip it down to clean, replace o-rings, and lube, however, this one came with an LPR kit installed...I cannot figure out how to remove the LPR (without damaging it) to access the valve (where I believe the leak is coming from, definitely not the solenoid or hammer assembly). Any advice would be appreciated.

first what kind of LPR is it? if its single piece one (ie strange lpr, NDZ, etc) use a strap wrench, the kind with a rubber strap that can tighten over the LPR, then use a standard adjustable wrench to grab around the rubber strap for a good grip. if its a 2 piece (ie mini max flo screwed into an end cap) first remove the LPR with a wrench, then do the same trick for the end cap.

in the future, when you re-install the LPR, hand tighten it, the o-ring on it will do a good job sealing up when pressurized.
