Hello i was wanting to find out how to remove the original feed neck on a Ion XE. does it unscrew,or is it just pressed in or what? Or does a new clamping type neck fit into the original.Thanks for any help on this matter.

You may need to heat the feedneck with a blow dryer before it'll come loose. People usually also suggest using a strap wrench so you don't damage it, but I got away fine with a Kleenex and an adjustable wrench (put the Kleenex between the feedneck and the wrench).

i think i took my stock feedneck off with a pair of channel locks. i would not do it this way again. i have heard that you can damage the breech by doing it that way.
