Would you buy a m98 if......

Hey , just wondering about this , i had an idea for m98s , let me know what you think.......

I run a store in central ohio , in process of building a large field w/ proshop and like everyone around uses m98s , they're the "big thing". Well , i finally found a guy that i can contract to do powdercoating for m98s. If you don't know what powdercoating is, its like ano but you can do it on m98s , which aren't possible to ano becuase of thier metalic composition.

Anyways , i was thinking of releacing my own edition(s) of m98s. All in diff powdercoated cammo patterns and setup to be like that pattern. IE a urban cammo m98 with a RT , drop forward, aftermarket barrel ( haven't decided yet ,some sort of 2 piece 10-12" , maybe CP. And like desert cammo , standard cammo , fall cammo ,ect and suit each gun to it.

Think it'd be a interesting idea ? the guns would only run about $50 over a stock m98 price after powdercoating , and most of the parts would be matched to it.

THx!

pictures = good
pricing = good
customer base = good

just advertise a little, and you'll have it made. (I.E. tippmann forum, your own website, the tippmann forum here, etc...)

and seriously, when you are up and running, get back to me on just urban camo shells

EDIT: If the tippmann base is big already, I suggest selling the shells seperatly anyway. That just kind of dawned on me. The people that already have them wont want to buy a new one for the color, but people like me sure as hell would want things like urban camo

I might get one done for pic purposes , i'm not tryin to advertize too much , its in the idea stages.

Absolutely dude I'm from Oh I know how big tippmanns are, once 18 of us guys went out and all but one had m98's or 98 customs. I have my tippman all shaved down and prettified but I can't get paint to stick and I know you can't anodize cast AL. SO if you get a volume deal with that dude I would love to get mine powedercoated, cause like I said it's been ground on a bit.

If you guys think that this'd be a good idea, I'll get some powdercoated real soon. I got a few NIB M98s I can do it to real soon.

What kind of setups would you like to see offered? I was thinking offering like this.....

Urban Cammo PC
32* Quiet Riot Barrel
Psyco Ballistics Drop Forward (Chrome or Matched)
RT Kit

For maybe $275ish....Give or take.

Use a CP barrel. They are the most accurate barrel's for the buck.

My ultimate setup (which I am close to having) is my shaved body, empire reloader, handworked stock trigger, drop foreward, 16-20 oz CO2, female palmres stabilizer and lapco 8 inch bigshot. Don't listen to me though I'm not going to buy one. A lot of people around here have either progressives or ceramics.

Talked to guy.......its gonna be way bigger than just "a m98 with powdercoating " the guy i found that does powdercoating runs a machine shop. I can get not only powdercoated m98 bodies but......... i can get anything associated with m98s , i can get m98s , with custom built drops , barrels ,ect. I looked at his stuff tonight......he made some mp5 look alike barrels for the tippmann a-5 , very nice.

that is to funny. Camo AND chrome. kinda defeats the purpose. Second best thing to camo is black
