Every Single Bit Of Matrix Info That Exists In The World
Hi. Many of you here know me as the snooty know-it-all jerk who babbles incessantly about obscure Matrix information and occasionally posts high res pictures of stuff. Some of you know that I have been piecing together all the data I can on the Matrix and organizing it into coherent articles. A few of you have been part of the interview process.
I am pleased to announce that the first revision is now online and available for your viewing pleasure. This is still very much a work-in-progress and I expect it to be revised heavily in its future. The intention is for this to be a one-stop-shop for any and all Matrix information. Every question about the gun should ideally be answered somewhere within.
Enough foreplay. May I present to you the articles:
Complete History: http://pblegion.com/showthread.php?t=4691
Technical Data: http://pblegion.com/showthread.php?t=4696
Discussion/Feedback: http://pblegion.com/showthread.php?t=4683
Question to the mods: Do you guys care if I crosspost this in one of the larger forums here on Nation to garner it a little more attention?

Some of the tequila sunrise trixs also had the same window cuts as the original tequilas.

^^^ that was the one we shared?^^^
If you think about it, it didnt say sunrise, but had it carved on the back. As were the gills, same as original tequila, what leads me to believe that was one that was made in transition from tequila to sunrise version. The sunrise if you remeber correctly was milled after first mill and anno, the sunrise was raw. I wish I never sold that one.

Could very well be. It might be one of those things that they realized they could preserve the life of the lexan if they shrunk the windows down after a certain amount of early Sunrises had already been made, and the change only went into the later ones. It also could be that some Tequilas were converted into Sunrises.
I'm leaning towards a little of column A, a little of column B on this one.

Also wanted to say that I enjoyed your writeup. The matrix was the first highend gun I owned and have loved them ever since. I believe that gun changed the face of paintball as we know it now.

I adore this article, I've just picked up an old DM3 of some variety and got it working again thanks to this article (bolt stop backwards)! Also gonna get the LPR set up with it. Great article, thanks for putting the time in.

this was done really well, there just one part of inaccurate info on the free flow truama's, the ones with X on the side were not miss milled, ethan told me when i bought mine years ago that he changed the milling on each batch, i now have two freeflow traumas both with the x milled on the side and both function perfectly and look cosmetically perfect, again this is what ethan told me but i know a couple fellow owners of truama's with the x's milled and they have no complaints of incorrect milling or performance issues, there is also another type of free flow matrix out there that was not mentioned, it was a freeflow lockout matrix like others has seen here http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...lockout+matrix, these were designed by justin bryce of team lockout, limited run of 5 with only 4 of them have Rochester(ny) milled on the top of them

Thanks for the heads up. A lot of the FreeFlow information would have been more accurate if Ethan had gotten back to me. I had heard rumors of the X mill and really didn't know anymore than that.
There is a section of the FreeFlow Lockouts, I just didn't have any good pictures. Thanks for that link.
edit- here's the tiny blurb I have on that gun for my article. Turns out we did have a picture thre! http://www.pblegion.com/showpost.php...8&postcount=22

those freeflow lockouts that you have the pic of were the first ones made they were made from gen-e led's and the lockout logo is just reg old milled in, the one that others were prob some of the last matrix's produced by pro paintball they were made from lcd's dm3's if you look closely at the one others has, the area around the lockout logo is recessed and the lockout logo is kinda embossed/raised (You can see it a lil better in this pic, http://ethansteiner.com/Welcome.html) , that blue one used to be my good buddies lil bro's they both had one, one blue and dust black parts and the other was a dark grey/pweter with black parts, but back to the truama's one of mine has the x and the trauma T on top is just the reg one as seen on the other traumas, my second one that i just bought has the baltimore trauma logo milled in the top( will get pics up once i can find a decent camera)

Yes please. Can you put it on a white background with halfway decent lighting and make sure it's in focus?
