Dow 33 ok to lube a stingray?

I read some people use ATF but i was wonering if dow 33 is ok to use

Potentially too thick and sticky, though it shouldn't damage it. Worst case you have to wipe it all off and re-oil it. Paintball gun oil, ATF, Hoppes No. 9 gun oil (NOT the solvent), air tool oil, or mineral oil should do the trick.

Do NOT use WD-40, penetrating oil, cooking oil (really, seen it before, nasty rancid smelling results), liquid wrench, axle grease, or petroleum jelly.
