Weird A1 air problem

I have been tinkering with an A1 here lately and cant seem to get it 100% figured out.

When the gun is fired slowly it will cycle fine, however the velocity screw must be turned out by an extremely large margin. When the marker begins to cycle fast the bolt will eventually stick foward and air will leak out (much like the gun is running out of air). The only way I can describe it, is that it is very similiar to shooting a gun with a very low amount of air in the tank. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

-I am using a HP tank, if that matters.

Thanks in advance!

what is your dwell, hpr, and lpr? did you do a minireg mod? if so, what is the spring configuration?

sounds like bolt stick (take off breach seal and the stock sticky pad and put the breach seal back on with a few dabs of superglue) or shootdown (set lpr to 57 with hpr at 270).

The Dwell is at 6.5.
I have not done the mini reg mod.
I do not have any of the gauges with me.
I just relubed the HPR/LPR/Ram.

not necessarily. you do the minireg mod if you can't bring your velocity down to what you need. which means the velocity screw would be turned all the way in.

so have you chronoed yet? check the lpr and hpr again to make sure you have the springs in the right orientation.

Those guages would really help you out. Your lpr pressure is based off of your HPR pressure.

I would also reccomend the mini-reg mod to help cut down that high pressure. It will make it easier on your angel in the long run.

I have a LPR tank, however the gun simply will not fire with it. I just rebuilt the HPR and the springs were in the correct location, I will do the LPR when I get back to the house.

Anyone ever heard of the on/off getting clogged?

sure. anything can happen. you can take it apart and clean and re-lube.

the gauges will tell you where the problem is.

Step 1: Battery?
Step 2: Make sure the ASA is depressing the pin in your reg. Some tanks don't work well with some on/offs.
Step 3: clean and relube your regulators, and you might as well check and make sure the solenoid isn't full of gunk while you are at it.

Thats really all I can think of that hasn't been mentioned. Gauges would help.

I just threw a new battery in it.

I will try a different ASA off of another A1 and see what is going on.

I will also look at the solenoid.

I would try a different tank before i went to the trouble of switching asa's,
or try your tank on another A1 if one is available.
