Another Bolt 360 QEV Dwell Setting???
Just installed a Redz Bolt & SP 360 QEV. No leaks, all good there. I had to set my dwell @ 29 & gun pressure to 180 to get the velocity I need. Or when I ran the dwell @ 19 I had to turn the gun pressure up to 200 to get the correct velocity. Does this sound right or not? Please don't link a thread on how to set the dwell I've read numerous posts on this and I know all ions vary. Seems like the dwell setting is a little higher than it should be as is the gun pressure, when trying to get to the desired velocity of 280. Its been a game of give and take trying to set the dwell vs. input pressure vs. velocity.

Is this 29 blinks on a stock board?
If it is, that's perfectly fine for a bolt as heavy as the redz bolt. It's not one of the lighter bolts out there, so you shouldn't expect to be running a really low dwell.
Start with the pressure around 160, set the dwell at this pressure, then adjust the pressure until its shooting at your desired velocity.

Yeah sorry, all my dwell numbers are figured in blinks, not MS.

29 blinks on the stock board equates to 22.5 ms of dwell time. With a full sized bolt like the Redz bolt, that's not too bad.

so you are saying that if I would have gotten the L7 bolt I was debating on, w/ the qev I would have gotten way better efficiency than the redz bolt? I wonder if it would equate to enough to mess with getting rid of the redz bolt and pickin up the L7 bolt? Im out for the best efficiency possible as hpa is readily available in my town.

Sadly but, imo no.
When you are lowering the dwell, you are slaming that bolt around. We are talking about 5-6 MS here, you MAY get another 50 paintballs out of that but, that is really it. Your going to have a more consistent gun running at a higher dwell than one that is running on a dwell of 8ms.

Follow the dwell sticky. I'd say 12-15 should be consistent. As long as you lube it properly. But those numbers are estimates. Fine tune the dwell yourself as per the stickies.
