Has anyone tried using a paint brush for designs? I'd assume you'd wanna wait till after the first coat has dried... but I havent tried it so im not sure.

It would work. Just pool some paint into a bowl or the cap and you can paint it.

no it does not work, the paint is only meant for plastics and wont hold up well on rubbery-flexy material

splatter would be easiest, pin stripes you would need to tape to make sure they were straight unless you're a good free hand, and a fade would be sick, just really easy to mess up on

Auto body shops use a special mixture to paint the rubber bumpers, specifically to make the paint more flexible and not crack. You may want to check AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts to see if they have something you can use on the flexible part. Or ask a body shop.

does the vaseline do the same thing as tape? as in just blocks the paint from getting certain places you dont want it?

Yes, the vaseline covers areas you don't want to paint. The reason for using it is that vaseline can get into crevices and slits that tape can't cover.

They paint rubber (such as rubber rafts, wetsuits, etc.). So there are stuff available to paint the flexible material.
Here's what I found:
1. " Puffy Paint" from the fabric department at Walmart. It worked fine, it was a little thinner so apply multiple light coats.
2. Rubbery paint called " U-Name-It" works great on wetsuits.
3. Plasti Dip ( http://www.plastidip.com/consumer/index.html). It's available in a few different colors as well as a spray can (nice for use with stencils).
I had been just reading about this, and have not actually done anything like this. So the above are excerpts of what others had said, not my actual experiance.

I might be interested in painting some Profits I'll be getting soon... What kind of paints should I use for the plastic-y material by the lens and the rubber-y stuff that makes up the rest of the mask?
Thanks
