quite a banjo issue

so i just got an ion in a trade, and there's something peculiar about the front banjo (the one closest to the reg)

i try to unscrew it and it just turns, and turns, and turns, and turns, but wont unscrew...

anyone have an idea of what happened? or how to fix this??

is the banjo loose? can you move it as it is?

the threads might have snapped off in the hole...(what is the word i am looking for?)

if this is the case, i would get an easy out to remove it.

edit: dont go yanking on it. if the threads snapped, it should lift out fairly easily.

If the screw on the banjo fitting is striped than you will have that problem, or if the threads are striped than you will have that problem. You can go to your local hardware store and get a stamp to pound out the allen hole to the next size and try that, it worked for me, but be warned you will have to order a new banjo fitting to replace the old one.

if the banjo thread is broken off in there, take a new pencil and shave the ereaser into kind of a tee-pee(cone) shape and try unscrewing it with that.
