And exactly what part of the advice I supplied was inaccurate? I had forgotten that any and all opinions on the matter had to go through you personally.
Unless I missed something, the original poster made no mention of playing professional paintball, and my advice was targeted towards him/her, not you.
Unless you have something positive to contribute (which by the looks of your thought-provoking post you do not) Then please take your business elsewhere.

for the snake.. depends on how long your game last. IF you are shooting a little before you get in the snake take a extra pod or two. I normally take out 3-4 but half the time i never shoot them all.

I would say it depends on your strategy as a team. For 7 man, if 50 snake isnt very effective, I'm just suppose to get into s1 and shoot my gun the whole game~ Im going to use 2x more pods than i would if i were attacking the field and moving up to s2 for two reasons.
1)When moving up the field people have more chances to kill you before you use your paint
2)When moved up the field you have a better shot on people, therefore shooting less paint. (plus your moving and not shooting)
In summary, If your conservative as a snake player bring 4-6 and roll your gun out of snake. If you're aggressive as a snake player, bring less pods to lower your profile and be quicker, bring 3-4.
Hope this helps!

our snake guy thinkstries playing with a pump it took him a while but it worked. its so hard to hit him. hes about 5'3 though.
I used to play it and i used three or four pods and a hopper. it all depends on what you prefer. im kinda big (6'2 and 190 pounds) so when i move i try to shoot as much as possible its helpful. practice it with alot of different configurations and youll find your sweetspot.

In practice 5 man I carry 3 pods with me but rarely do I ever end up using 1 pod. I intend on still using 3 pods for tournaments. I'm a fairly aggressive front/snake player so I don't usually go through to much.

I would take about 4. 3 would most likely work to if you don't fire like a mad man on a rampage.

Depending if your going straight to snake off break. If Im going to snake off break, i bring 4 to be safe. If Snake is my second or third bump(Laning/Gunfighting) then i bring 5 or 6.

I like to bring as much as i can carry and still be able to be mobile and able to make it to my bunker without fail. 4-6 depending. I play D side front, snake may be a little different.
