Derek - reading is your friend.
Near the bottom of the press release states that you should contact the person listed at the bottom to arrange for a refund.
Not sure this is the direction I would have gone, but it's a direction.

Does this mean the former AXBL faculty is interested in starting a PSP regional league? The press release could almost be read to insinuate that possibility... or maybe not. (?)

This termination post is so terribly out of line its not funny. Giving the players what they want, the termination of the AXBL? All the owners in here are asking is that the AXBL works with them to create the best tournament possible - how hard is that? |

so im reading it as, he thinks we are ungrateful, so it's our fault that he is terminating the axbl.
is that right to assume that?
...based on:
"It seems however that our efforts to preserve XBall in the US as well as provide players a full infrastructure and professionally run league have gone unappreciated."
and
"...we feel it is therefore appropriate that we once again deliver what the players want; the termination of the AXBL."
