my ion wont turn on
i plugged in a brand new battery and it wont turn on. how do i figure out what the problem is? do i need a totally new board?

Take the board out of the frame and see if you have the sme problem.

Check your battery harness. They may have come unconnected.

take it to a pro shop or something and see what they have to say. maybe your battery harness is messed up or the board is completly done for.

im trying to fix this myself or would have taken it there in the first place.

is it possible to take an on/off switch from one board off and put it on a different board? i have one board with no switch that idk if it works or not.

The board may have been shorted out. Any moisture making contact while a battery plugged in can cause this, but not to often does it happen. Cross your fingers and hope that it's not shorted out, otherwise you will need a new board.
I have a stock board laying around PM me if you need it and we can work something out.
Hope you can get it working.
