I'm just sayin' dude if you're coach is giving you away like that adding a basic code is an easy fix. You're right though, there isn't much that can help more thna smart instinctive play.

well.. wouldnt matter.. i dont have a coach. and thats why. haha i rely the most on my team to "tell me when to go" i guess.. You just gotta know, play, and practice with your team. thats all there is to it

set up empty paintboxes or other small targets in knuckles of the snake, and others across the field. just practice snapping from down low and very quickly. practice till you can consistently hit your target, same goes for the cross field shots.
another thing is to make sure you use the whole snake, and knowing where shots along the beam are possible right off the break. i've gotten many quick kills on the back center as they are hanging out shooting a lane.

Of course, another thing to make sure is that you don't (1) step out of bounds or (2) get shot by the snake back.

If there is snake corner, you're shot. You know this game well if you play NCPA, you're going to probably trade out with your opponent. This doesn't work.

What does work for snake play;
-a coach to tell you exactly where to shoot.
-using the whole beam to find shots
-having a corner behind you to keep opponents corner player suppressed and keep their snake player from bunkering you. then you have free range and they can't touch you.
-Once you shot out a guy or two cross-field, or their corner is gone, run the other snake guy down-even if you trade then you're probably still up on guys and it'll benefit your team. Once again, it's something your coach should decide based on looking at what's going down on the WHOLE field, not just the snake. What's best for the team to win. So just listen to your coach, and if your coach sucks, get a new one.

learn to love being on your knees and stomach

learn to kill on your own. trust your corner/whomever's covering your ***. know the field, your shots, and who can shoot you from every part of the snake. learn to force your own move when necessary. apply this knowledge and hope your dorito side guys know what they're doing.
