has anyone tried an SLP on their g5?

^ title

My small tank has an SLP reg. Just wondering if that would be enough output to work with the g5. I appreciate all comments as long as they're not flames. :3 thank you in advance!

G5 is recommended somewhere between 400-600.

I'll try it out once I get it. I'd like to keep that setup as weightless as possible. If it the pressure can't keep up, i'll have to swap regs. :3

as long as its pressure does not drop below the pressure requirements for the G5. I think the G5 is running about 190-210psi. SLP is supposed to be 275psi output but it tends to be a little higher, about 300.

It should work if the slp reg is in good condition and does not have a large pressure drop when shooting.

Cool thanks! I'll give it a try and see if there's any drop off.

Good deal. Most tank regs these days have a pretty good recharge rate so not too surprised.

Unless you physically show them what you are talking about as well as thoroughly explaining it to them, in person, they won't have a damn clue.

Which is why it is far better to ask your questions here than directly consulting Dangerous Power

Could having too low of an output pressure cause your gun to chop? Especially at higher rates of fire?

I would think all you have to do is ask If you can run slp on the g5. They might ask what's the output pressure of the tank. But once you tell then they should understand and answer your question.

Call DP and ask for Dallas. He's been really helpful for me. I've even kept in touch with him about the performance of my g5.

I'm running a brand new Ninja SLP 69/4500 on my G5. I put 3 cases through it yesterday without a problem. Love it. Great set up.
