Question about the QEV
How many O-Rings are on the QEV?
I have a thick black o-ring but I was looking at some pictures and it appears there is also a white o-ring. When I tighten it up it does not tighten down. If I turn it until it is snug it is facing the wrong way.
Any ideas (yes I am a noob but any help is appreciated).

Should just be the one o-ring.
You can try some teflon tape on the threads to see if you can get it to seal when you only tighten it as much as you can with it facing the proper direction.

which QEV do you have? the 360 has a swivel head that can be held facing the proper direction while tightening the screw

Bought an O-Ring kit, replace the small o-ring and used a little teflon tape - no leaks...

Sounds like he has one of the clippard style or similar.
Also sounds like he got it all worked out.

should be 1 oring. put a little PAINTBALL OIL on the oring (not grease), them put nail polish on the threads. The oil helps keep the oring from drying out too much like mine did. Then tighten all the way (until it stops the minimal force), then back it out to the point where it is in as far as it can go, and still be facing the right side

Nail polish?? Can you remove it easily after? Just doesnt sound like something i'd want to put in my marker.
Teflon works fine until you can get a replacement oring.

yeah nailpolish is fine, the only problem with it is that it WILL dry up the oring. you have to put oil on the oring before you put the nail polish on it.
Other than that it works almost just like loctite, cept its easy to get it off, it will just take minimal force to take it off
