Even after 2 years he could pay for grad school and put half a mil in the bank. Plus he has the NFL on his resume, how's that for standing out in a crowd?
Versus stay in school, win a Heisman maybe and boost his NFL resume giving him even more money.

He was 14 as of late 2008. Not sure when his birthday is, but that gives him the potential to be up to 16 by now.

That was back when running backs actually liked Florida.

Mark Richt couldn't land one Saban disciple so he brought in another - Dallas Cowboys DL coach Todd Grantham is UGA's new DC.

Great hire for them. He runs an Alabama style 3-4, so it will likely take him a year to get the personnel and everything in place but he's a great hire in the long run. Long overdue.

What Saban runs. Pretty much the college version of Belichick's - Saban's mentor - defense.

Defensive schemes have altered a lot since then, especially in how teams blitz. UA implements corner blitzes and even zone blitzes, which you didn't see back then and college teams almost never zone blitz, which is why so many rookie quarterbacks struggle with them in the NFL, where they're very popular. Furthermore, Grantham's scheme is developed from Saban's, and the success of Saban's D at Alabama played a big role in who UGA went after; they wanted a Saban acolyte from the beginning.
