Angel LCD: Leak from Ram

Just getting back into paintball so I got my old 2k2 LCD Apollo out. I did a simple disassemble and re-lubed everything before applying gas to it.

I have a small leak coming from the RAM / Hammer side when gas is applied. I did verify it was not coming from the exhaust / cup seal side. I went ahead and adjusted the snap ring and shot it some just to make sure it wasn't a leak that was going to fix itself after the gun cycled a few times.

I swapped the 3 o-rings on the outside of the Ram and didn't seem to change. Does the snap ring o-ring serve any purpose other than just something for the shaft to snap into? I haven't located one of those to swap out yet so just curious if there is something else I'm missing like inside the Ram.

Just incase it matters, LPR is currently set at 79, I put in an order to get some shims headed my way so I can get it bumped up where it should be.
Thanks,
Conrad

one of the internal orings might be shot. If they are, the are replaceable, but it is not easy.

Thanks for the response. I started thinking something was probably up with my Ram internally because it didn't seem to have suction on it. Not sure what could have changed with the Ram but seems to have changed.

I tested it again and now I can cover the holes on the back side of the Ram and pull the hammer out and it snaps back. If I extend the Hammer and cover the three in the front and push it back in, it snaps it back out. Now I need to get some more air so I can test it again.

I need some more air so I can re-test it. Any source for the Snap Ring O-Ring? Mine is looking pretty beat up.

Thanks. I will post after I get a chance to get some air and retest. It looks like mine is acting the same as this one. The ram on this one was also snapping back so I'm going to guess I will have the same leak.

*edit* Nevermind my poor reading comprehension Definitely check the internal o-ring when you get a chance.

Thanks. I just realized it was your video I watched on youtube.

So I got some more air tonight and tried it and no luck, still leaking from the Ram so it must be internal.

I went ahead and pulled the Ram apart to see what was inside. Do I need to be concerned with the thicker rubber piece with the purple arrow pointing to it or only the single o-ring as far as the leak is concerned?

The yellow arrow is the one you want to replace.

Also, I wish I could take credit for the teardown video, but that was actually Brad, AKA sledneckforlife, AKA EastCoastAngel on here

May I ask how you got that so cleanly apart?

Some come apart pretty easily, it's not the usual factory locktight we're accustomed to that's on the trigger screws.

It was on there tight for sure! I sacrificed a leather belt and cut a couple 4" pieces off the end of it.
I wrapped a portion of the belt around the red piece to the right of the purple arrow and stuck it into a bench vice and carefully tightened it down until I couldn't twist it by hand when grabbing the rest of the red body to the left. Each movement I made on the vice I did a test since I had never had one apart before and didn't want to over do it and distort or crack the Ram. Once I wasn't able to twist it I assumed it was tight enough.
Once it was secure in the vice I applied some heat to the body with a little harbor freight mini torch I had laying around and then wrapped the other piece of belt around it to protect it and used some channel locks to break it free.
I'm sure this isn't the preferred method but it worked, just have to be careful with the vice.
I haven't found a new o-ring to try yet.
