Leak out of Angel Air Reg

Trying to troubleshoot a leak on this angel air reg. when the regs reads low output psi there's no leak. When I start turning up the output pressure air starts gushing out from where my finger is pointing. Anyone have any ideas what I can do?

Is the a red wax disk under that plate? I believe that's a blowout, which means an internal seal is bad. Which one? No idea

Not it's for removing and seating a nut inside that holds the main seal.

The red disk seal goes bad over time. I replaced mine 2 or 3 times when I owned my Angel AIR. Very common issue. Just replacing the red disk should fix you right up.

That's an overpressure vent, but when the seal goes bad it won't seal even at normal pressure. Your internals are probably fine. If you do need to break down the reg for maintenance or to replace a seal, the old ram tool can be used to remove the end cap. You need another special tool to replace the main seal.

are there any drawbacks to just tapping and plugging that hole? Im sure replacement parts like that red seal are extremely difficult to find.

Looks like PB Sports is out of stock on them. I think Bob had some in his inventory when he sold the shop, so you might want to shoot an email to Tim at www.paintballtek.com

I suppose technically you could plug the overpressure vent hole, if you're willing to accept the attendant risk.

The worst that could happen is that the reg has a high pressure bypass that goes to the HPR which then blows the seals right?

Is that Tim Firpo? If so Im in contact with him on facebook.
