For Whom the Bell Tolls is a good one to start on. Skip A Farwell to Arms unless you really get into Hemmingway. Everybody reads The Old Man and the Sea and while good, it doesn't really resonate with me like some of his other stuff. You may also want to check out Death in the Afternoon, a politically incorrrect look at Spanish bullfighting among other things.

Grab anything by Kipling. The language can be a little dense, but he is the soldier's poet. Nobody ever said it as well.

last I checked, paintball wasnt life or death. Getting shot just means walking off the field to eat another donut. Tooch harder!

Because looking agg in a scenario game is fun...

It is more of the shear numbers of people. The final push on the beach is always a good time at ION, it turns into a 1500+ vs 1500+ on the size of a few speedball fields put together. I don't get that feeling playing speedball at all.

It's the perfect balance between competitiveness and casual. Recball just doesn't feed my need for a well organized, competitive game. On the other hand, tournament requires too much organization and consistent practice to be any good (as a team). Scenario strikes the perfect balance between the two whilst allowing me to play at a high level.
