No matter who won the trophy this year, it was going to be displayed at a Wal-Mart in that state. This was not a Univ of Alabama decision. Dr Pepper, who was the primary sponsor of the trophy, had an agreement with Wal-Mart to do it. If Texas had won the trophy, it would have been displayed at a Wal-Mart in Texas.
Yeah but.... It doesn't make it any less funny that it's displayed in a Wal-mart in Alabama.

No doubt.

I do take solace in the fact that it was displayed in another Wally World in cosmopolitan Austin, Texas in 2006, though.

That was back when Deion was trying to adopt him. I followed Devine's recruitment pretty closely. He's actually one of my favorite players and he makes me lawl.

Man, if Saban had gotten here sooner, Devine might be wearing crimson.

Devine, Ingram, and Richardson would be sick.

Since 1992, we have gotten great running backs. We had really good backs in the 70's too

Since 92:
Robert Walker
Famous Amos Zeroue
Quincy Wilson
Avon Coubourne
Steve Slaton
Noel Devine

Quincy Wilson was probably one of the best ones there but Amos will alway be my fav

Combination of both.

Zeroue and Slaton were the best NFL guys

All the others were college guys.

I remember my first Mountaineer game sitting there watching Quincy Wilson truck over Sean Taylor and Merriweather.

Also D. Thomas and Morgan Burnett. Thomas was ready. Burnett was not. Burnett will be lucky to get drafted.

I hate when that happens.

I simply don't understand the guys who really don't seem like they can get drafted, why they would want to declare. Even though he may stay in school, Ahmad Black hasn't said if he's staying or not, but I can't imagine him being drafted partially because his size and all the talent in this draft is staggering on the Defensive side of the ball especially. It just makes more sense to me to stay for another year and guarantee being drafted no matter what they pay you rather than taking a risk of not being drafted, because they're afraid of a salary cap which they wouldn't even reach being drafted in the 7th round. Am I right?

This is a great year to draft defensively... there is no real outstanding QB/WR/RB prospect that makes your mouth water.

Not even Clausen pops out as a great prospect. He is the "best" prospect, but thats not a big compliment this year...
