Why is it that the A-5 egrip is more than the 98 ebolt?

A5- 115$
98- +280

I think you phrased that wrong.

My guess: it heavily mods the 98's internals, but only changes how the sear moves in the A5.

Tippmann 98 Custom e-bolt kit: 228$ at pbgear.com
http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/011-7020-553.html

Tippmann A-5 e-grip kit: 115$ at pbgear.com
http://store.yahoo.com/actionvillage/011-7020-947.html

They are different prices - but it looks like they both do the same thing.

E-grip is a sear tripper, E-bolt is electro pneumatic.

E grip consists of a board, micro switch, few misc parts and very inexpensive solenoid.

E-bolt consistes of a board, micro switch, pneumatic ram, low pressure regulator, 5 dollar a piece stainless steel fittings, misc parts and a expensive solenoid.

the a5 Egrip is an actually grip piece. u remove the old grip frame and replace it with that. the ebolt is a drop in kit for the 98c (its more then just drop it in, u gonna do some drilling but more or less its just a drop in)

I remember there was an e-grip, it was a lot cheaper and was a sear tripper. Damn, I can remember who made it, not tippmann. Anyways im not sure if they are still around.
