Rainmaker valve mod

Not sure how popular the RM is anymore, but I have a new one I was thinking of modding.

How many of you here remember the cocker valve MOD?

Here it is. I'm not sure how many were ever made. I know I own at least one of two. I'm putting in a 99" cocker valve. Real simple design. You can see it just takes a regular cocker valve jam nut. Just like putting a valve in a cocker.

So I need to put on outer orings and see what it does this week.

That's the theory behind it. Everyone wanted to know what the effect of a cocker valve would do to it being an air hog,or if it would let it have better air consumption and make it quieter.

But as with all players, a new thing is announced and everyone wants one, then when they are made,no one buys it. So I guess I was the only dummy that bought one.

Well I'll now test the theory.

I believe no one bought those because they didn't work correctly. I think kevmaster was the one that came up with the idea. I can't remember why they didn't work though. Those were the days.

So just to catch this up. I'll give an efficiency report and loudness report. It won't have graphs or anything like that, just some good words and the truth.

Hopefully in 2 weeks. I'm still in Japan till Fri the 5th,and I need about a week to recover.

Iam using a 99 valve,not a 2k valve,so maybe I should test both.
