Those jack are pretty good, I use one at work every day. The tool chests are pretty cheesy though.

What do you mean cheesy? Lol I was thinking of getting one to keep in my garage for all of my shadetree mechanic doings. I currently use a tackle box and it's annoying to have to dig through one single compartment with all the tools in it, but I cant stomach $350+ for a craftsman and even more for a snap-on.

The drawer sliders feel really cheap and flimsy even when they are empty. I would wait until a craftsman goes on sale and pick one of those instead, the quality is much better.

I have one, unlike you.

I use mine all of the time, and it is actually quite nice. Quality is much better than the craftsman friction slide boxes.

I don't own one because I chose not to buy one after checking them out at the store, but I'm glad you are happy with yours.

I felt the black HF box in the store, and ilovemymatrix was right, the drawers had a lot of side-to-side play. On the other hand, this one was quite nice:

No play in the drawers, and the rolling action was smooth. It felt much more expensive than the price would suggest.

This.
I got it for $300 and change (after tax) about a year ago.
As good as Craftsman's best offering (obviously worse than Snap or Mac but tons cheaper)

That's a damn good deal, I'd pull the trigger on it.

I have the "same" kit, in the older style case with the 4 pull out drawers, and it has most everything you need to do most average auto repairs.

Granted, you WILL need to buy a few things here and there to add to it, but it's a great starter set.

I can already see myself buying more extensions and some ratcheting wrenches. But I did think that it's a pretty damn good deal. I'll act on it.

I'm not sure if this is just a local deal or what at sears, but if you have any(according to what the manager told me) student ID you can get 20% off most tools, or 5% off ones that are already on sale.
