architecture studio
modern history of architecture
architectural tech systems
digital media

doesn't look like much on paper, but the studio is credited 6 hours, which is only a fraction of what i'll actually be spending in studio every week. the tech systems and media courses tie into and add to my studio work. i'm considering taking a non-architecture course to keep my sanity, if i can fit it in... also if i can find one that's fairly easy and yet still worth taking.

I'm so so glad I decided architecture wasn't for me. Every architecture student I hear from further solidifies this sentiment.

I was 100% positive a year ago that architecture was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I spent my days looking at designs, buildings and playing on AutoCAD/Revit Architecture...I couldn't get enough of it. I was registered and ready to go to Temple University and like 3 days after I sent in my papers for housing and stuff my obsessive interest in it instantly vanished. I backed out and am going to CC now for a major on the complete opposite end of the spectrum.

I still like it and all, but I can by no means see myself doing it as a career. I'm kinda happy I did back out because every Arch student I talk to busts their *** and I don't have the motivation or patience for that. I would have probably dropped the major eventually in frustration and wasted my money on a useless semester. It's definitely an awesome job and will provide a great future, but you really need to have some serious dedication to it from what I've seen.
