Paintballing in commercial areas not legal?
I live in a little neighborhood in a commercial area. Techincally my area should be residential as its brentwood and has about 3 4 huge neighbor hoods nearby. But it is on the other side of the freeway of the big commercial area westwood. A local neighborhood security cop told me hes pretty sure its illegal.
So is it illegal to shoot paintballs in my back yard?
Ive also got problems with neighbors complaining about it, any ideas on that?
Thanks

Well i dont understand why you told me to drive to a paintball field to avoid having a cop car stuck in concrete lmao.
My problem is, my back is fractured im taking 3 different kind of meds as well as lidoderm patches and am in bed 50% of the day. I like going to my back yard when i can and shoot up the place.
And if i want to just test my marker or fine tune it i dont want to have to drive all the way to a field just to fire off maybe 10 balls.
Can some one just answer my question and not go off topic. Im suprised a mod hasnt seen this and said to get on topic.

Are you retarded? This is a serious question. Maybe you should go get yourself check out.
And wheres an admin when you need one this person should have an infraction, or worse.
But not only that but not a single post has come close to being on topic.
Because the answer is YES or NO. That simple.

lmao thank you for making it clear for once i kinda gave up on this thread cuz of the silly pictures. But do you guys know of a way to check if its legal? And isnt technically a neighborhood a residential zoned area even if its in a commercialized city or area?

The easiest way to answer this question is to call the local police agency and just ask them.
Some places have no problem as long as you are on your own property, some jurisdictions and states prohibit playing unless you are on a paintball field.
Shouldn't matter what the zoning is (residential vs. commercial); however what will matter is if you have permission from whomever owns the land. If not, you are trespassing at the least, and possibly could be open to other charges depending on how anal the cops in your area are.

i wouldn't trust a rent-a-cop's opinion on it all. I took all the courses to become a security guard and they don't teach them laws, etc. Ask the real police. I'm sure its legal in your yard. Is it legal what I do? sit in my computer room, open my door, open my window and shoot the condomed house next door thats had water running in it for 10 years and bricks missing?
Probably not but my neighbors don't care lol.

Contact your local police department to see if there are any provisions that prohibit the discharge of paintball markers in your area.
Chances are there are not and that rent a cop is blowing smoke up your you know what.
Why are your neighbors complaining? Are you shooting their house? lol. You can always call them and tell them you are going to be using your paintball marker in your back yard and not to be concerned. You could also get a barrel with better porting to make it quitter so it wont bug them as much.

Ive been looking for a barrel with more porting but i cant find any posts on the web stating what the most ported barrel is. I think my orbium kit is sufficiant. Its a crazy lady behind our house and shes the only one complaining in the neighborhood, making my mom get on my *** like its a problem for the whole neighborhood both her and i know shes the only one who has a problem with it. I even explained i screwed up my back and used to be on a "professional" team even tho it was just a team of friends. To explain that all i get to enjoy doing is paintballing lol. Shes just crazy I just need a the quietest barrel out there, ive already got a quiet dye, and a muffler so i can dry fire at the sound of a whisper. I just need a nice barrel. I even bought a bunker so i wasnt hitting the hard wood fence between her house and ours, even though its on our property.
Lol sry for the sloppy *** grammar just drank with my friends 8)

I'm fairly certain it's illegal to shoot a paintball marker within city limits anyway...

do you have a garage? if so, set up a snap target in a bucket, and test fire in there. or, get reballs.... or, do both.....
or get velcro target shots and have a hayday down your hall.

Tell that neighbor to wear some earmuffs, or get the sand out of her vag. PB gun makes no more noise than the people outside mowing the grass. To me she seems like some old B!*#H who rains on everyone's parade.

Yeah she yells at me to STFU!!!!!!! over the fence. Somehow something hit her window and made a crack that looked like some one shot the glass from the inside and there was no paint on the mark what so ever at any point. And she blamed us. I think it wound up not even being our fault i think some water pump exploded. Plus shes old as hell so im guessing shes senile.
I have a garage but its basically a storage unit lol.
And the bunkers i have are coleman bunkers. I only get minor bounces on the bunker if i aim at the bottom joint, but if i hit it in the upper part theres no bounce what so ever.
I had to buy a spyder silencer and a spyder to autococker converter thing so i can test for leaks with out loud pops because the b*** complains. I mean i dont even get to shot my geo, i have to use my dm7 or dm9 and nothing else. Pls dont hate for having those markers, just being a gun tech brings me joy even when im not shooting.
Does any one know of what the quietest barrel is? I have an orbium barrel kit but im wondering if i can get something quieter.
Thanks for the post guys

Be careful, as most towns and communities have air rifle laws, and paintball markers fit the bill on that one, so make sure your town doesn't have laws about air rifles either.
